EXCLUSIVE: $25 Charge To Attend Michael Jackson Memorial Posted on Jul 02, 2009 @ 03:15PM

Fans who wish to attend Michael Jackson's star-studded memorial service at Staples Center will have to shell out $25 to sit in the stands, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Family, friends and VIPS will have seats on the main floor for The Tuesday, July 7th Staples service, first reported by RadarOnline.com, while the general public will be plucking down $25 to sit in the stands.

The memorial service will feel like a concert production featuring guest speakers, a lot of music and video screens inside and outside of Staples, a source close to the planning tells RadarOnline.com.

Michael Jackson's close friend Elizabeth Taylor is expected to attend, along with Diana Ross.

T-shirts that were going to be sold on Michael's upcoming "This Is It" tour will not go to waste. They will be sold outside Staples to people entering the service.

The service will be held between 10am PST and noon PST. The Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey circus will be on standby, literally. The circus act just happens to be in town and is slated to begin their run at the Staples Center from July 8 to July 11.

"We will not be taking part in the memorial service," spokesperson Stephen Payne confirmed. "We are prepared to make any logistical changes with equipment and such to help out."

This is just the beginning of the feeding frenzy over poor Michael's carcass.

The nurse, who said she warmed him about the intravenous knock out drug, said he was on a wellness kick, just couldn't sleep. That comment is consistent with the “hulk” who was training him...Good shape the last time he saw him, no evidence of drug use (a month ago) just had trouble sleeping.

In contrast, hair was fuzz/lost his hair, nails were darkened, had stomach problems. Sleeping problems. Six months ago, was so weak he had to use a wheel chair. Hope there was enough hair that they could analyze for poison.

AEG is the concert promoter owned by a billionaire. One of the many parties with a significant interest in all of thise.

Drudge now has up that there will be no charge for the memorial service.

LA worried about who is going to pick up the tab!

Indeed.

It should be the one who will profit from the video of the event...as I am sure that will be sold in a DVD.

AEG owns the intellectual rights to the DVD of his rehearsals. I don’t know if there are any other rights involved in the DVD.

Does AEG have any connections to the Nation of Islam?

Will the fans riot like they did after the Lakers Championship?
After all, they ‘cancelled’ the circus for this extravaganza— actually doing the event while the circus would be setting up.
There are a ‘lot of jokes and wisecracks there’ but, after all, he is deceased and should get a moment of silence....

These folks are going to be emotionally charged, partying and feelin’ the power... it would not surprise me if they rioted.

Honestly, no matter what anyone may think of him, I really think MJ would not like this, he did care about his fans and was in the Guiness Book as the celebrity who gave to charity the most of anyone, in fact supported at least 39 charities. This smells of his dad and Sharpton—greedy bastards. I don’t blame MJ for cutting his scum bag father out of the will. I did not see him shed one tear for his son, everytime they showed him he was talking about money to be made off MJ.

Someone didn’t like it and nixed the idea. It is going to be free of charge. They are going to hand out 11000 free tickets. Details tomorrow.

AEG’s owner is actually
Philip Anschutz who was brought into the scene by Thomas Barrack , owner of Neverland.

COuple of thing stood out to me:

First:
“He has 182 employees around the world who monitor local markets, looking for opportunities he can exploit. At the same time, he buys primarily high-quality properties—those that, if skillfully resurrected, can command a premium.”

Second:
“...Saudi sheikhs could be a hot commodity. When his Fluor assignment ended, Barrack stayed on and went to work reviewing deals for two young Saudi princes. (Foreign suitors needed a sponsor in the royal family to win government contracts.) Barrack learned Arabic and immersed himself in the local folkways. “When I’d go back to California for a visit, my friends couldn’t understand what I was doing,” he recalls. But he knew: By going down the road less traveled, he was positioning himself to jump ahead. And jump he did. Barrack became a powerful middleman, and over 4½ years did tens of millions in deals for the princes...”

Third:
His timing was perfect. ...in many financial deals. All making him and others a great deal of money.

Me too. :-( Not that MJ was my hero or anything- but watching the old footage from the Thriller/Bad days takes me back to my childhood, Thriller was the very first record I saved up my allowance to buy when I was in 5th grade!
I just feel bad for someone who never had a chance for a normal life and had so many demons, and no one there to get him some help.
