Palin: Yeah, She’s Running And Ready To Rumble!

I pretty well nailed Governor Palins strategy when she announced. Today there is little doubt to what she intends to do:
I am now looking ahead and how we can advance this country together with our values of less government intervention, greater energy independence, stronger national security, and much-needed fiscal restraint, the former Republican vice presidential candidate wrote in a posting on her Facebook page. Palins spokeswoman, Meghan Stapleton, confirmed Palin wrote the entry.
One thing I did forget to mention in the previous post which is clear today - Palin is going to shove as much crow down as many arrogant, mouthy throats in the Political Industrial Complex as she can. And America will be cheering her on for the next decade as she does so. And she began today:
To the extent several websites, most notably liberal Alaska blogger Shannyn Moore, are now claiming as fact that Governor Palin resigned because she is under federal investigation for embezzlement or other criminal wrongdoing, we will be exploring legal options this week to address such defamation, Van Flein said in a statement. This is to provide notice to Ms. Moore, and those who re-publish the defamation, such as Huffington Post, MSNBC, the New York Times and The Washington Post, that the Palins will not allow them to propagate defamatory material without answering to this in a court of law.
The FBI reiterated that claim Saturday, telling the Los Angeles Times for a story Sunday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation was not investigating Palins activities as governor, a former mayor or in any other capacity.

AJ really did some good work with the piece he wrote Friday:
Forget All The Palin Nonsense - She Running For President
******************************EXCERPTS*******************************
Published by AJStrata at 8:00 pm under 2010 Elections, Sarah Palin
Final Update: For all those who think a bold move is a handicap, that is why you are in the peanut gallery and Sarah Palin is the talk of the weekend across this nation. I send this especially to some armchair experts in the conservative blogosphere who scratched their heads and claimed Sarah made a mistake. Hate to say this folks, but the mistake is assuming Americans would agree with you - now that you are also part of the useless and inept political chattering class. We have seen years of experts hit DC and blow it on many fronts. Claiming Palin did not do what was best for her and Alaska because it doesnt fit some mold or theory or history is really assuming we know all we need to know about politics and people.
For all those who smear her with asinine conspiracy theories - the mirror is on you. For example, Irans revolution not withstanding, Andrew Sullivan sunk from an interesting political commentator to all out scum over Palin. His hate of her destroyed him, and left Sarah completely untouched and a sympathetic victim to Sullivans mad ravings.
And to the Palins. Good luck in life. I agree with the decision. Sarah had accomplished a lot, and the muck loving Sullivans in the world had made it nearly impossible to do more for Alaska. They have a Phyrric victory, but again, you can destroy something for the moment, but the act itself destroys you 100 times over.
I strongly hope Sarah will be back next year, building her Congressional base in 2010 that will lift her into 2012. I know she is wondering if it is all worth it. I can only give her this advice. Your son is in Iraq trying to make the world better for all of us. He is risking it all. All of our families will be suffering for decades to come if the Democrats are pulled from office for the ineptitude and failures. You too may have to sacrifice a lot for this country. But at least it will not be the same as those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the war on terror.

If she really wanted to “blow smoke up our butts” she would have said she had completely stopped government growth! She tells the truth, why do you have a problem with that. Last time I looked, Governors had to work with legislatures. They aren’t dictators like Obamie.. Pain actually respects the rule of law and the Constitution - of her State and the USA.

If she couldn't reduce the size of government in Alaska, how can she say she will reduce it in all of America? Give me a friggin' break! She cut Alaska' budget to the bone despite howls of outrage there. Get a clue, bub.

Has it ever occurred to you, that "slowing the rate of government growth" is a preliminary step to "cutting government"?
Think of putting the brakes on a car -- the stop isn't instantaneous.
(I understand that, being a Texan, you can't help but be jealous of the only state larger than you; and that Sarah Palin is no Gov. Perry, who tried to force vaccinations for STD's on schoolgirls. But *do* try to keep your feelings in check.)
Cheers!

Shes not all in Shes ready to rumble!! :) Exactly!
We've all been wanting a strong conservative voice that would challenge the Obonga regime and get national attention and Palin has accepted the challenge.
We need to support her every way we can.

Preemptive my derriere. You’re just shooting your mouth off because Sarah has done nothing worthy of such a strike yet and has enough people piling on her without the Conservatives doing it as well.
Remember the Reagan doctrine - trust but verify. You’re forgetting the trust part. I know that is hard with politicians because precious few of them are worthy of trust at all. But we are never going to get perfect politicians because we will never get perfect people. We need to support those who show themselves to be conservatives and chuck them to the side when a pattern of behavior shows otherwise. The proof will be in what they do, not what they say. Until then, hold your tongue. If she screws up, grace is warranted to the extent that it becomes apparent that she isn’t who she portrayed herself to be. If that were to occur, then you would have all the ground you need to criticize and dismiss. In the mean time, support those you can and don’t just sit there and complain about imagined future deeds.

The only part of her strategy that is unclear is how she will maintain her high public profile. Mike Huckabee has made a shrewd move by having the show on Fox and he has somewhat changed some of the views he had held as governor of Arkansas.
Reagan was not in public office for six years when he ran in 1980, but he kept his profile up by having a weekly radio speech/coorespondence. She is going to have to have some type of outlet to the public on a regular basis. This part of the strategy has not been revealed yet, it will be interesting to see what it is.

But if one brags about slowing the rate of growth of government, I will call him or her on it as well.

Wow. You Palin worshippers sure are touchy.
All I said was I didn't like her boasting about slowing the rate of growth of government on the basis that it still represents government growth. And as a Conservative, I am naturally opposed to government growth.
That doesn't mean I don't like the woman. I do. Aks my wife. She thinks I have a crush on her.
