I think that's the point. They've found the only part that doesn't have an ewwwwww factor.
Think about it...the press wants to stay in their good graces (why, I don't know), so they feel they've got to compliment her at all possible opportunities. She's got a mean bitch scowl, an ass that requires its own zip code, no waist, no chest, and bow legs. But the arms look okay. So, let's compliment her on her arms.
This orange dress looks like something you’d wear to an afternoon wedding. It’s totally inappropriate for state occasions. Too low cut, color is too bright, and it is absolutely unflattering to her figure. She needs to get over the under the armpit belts too. She has a problem dressing her age.
We had a wedding to go to two weeks ago and my nephew’s girlfriend wore a belt high up under her breasts. My first thought was ugh! The belt did NOT go with the dress. I have no idea why she wore it and didn’t dare ask.
Her arms are scrawny.
I’m reminded of a song we used to sing in Basic Training:

That gives me an idea for a new book, it would be the Emperor’s New Clothes, but with Michelle’s picture replacing the Emperor’s.

Talbot’s? Again, who cares, except that the press wants us to care and that makes it worse. She seems uncomfortable with fashion, and strong willed enough that she makes her own decisions. That’s cool...but don’t tell me I’m seeing blue, when I KNOW I’m seeing orange.
JCPenney has some nice things too. Unfortunately, Mrs. Zero has a blind, primate selecting her clothes. A sighted primate would select better outfits.
Umm, it’s the picture at the top of this post. Michelle is wearing a yellow sweater with the dress and is standing next to 0.
Now, come on. Some people just don’t care too much about what they wear. I guarantee you by this time next year, she’ll be a fashion plate. She’s probably resisting any help right now because they’re approval ratings are high. When they get low, they’ll do anything to make it better. Wait and see.
I could care less what she wears, who designs her clothes, etc. What I do care about is that her husband does not love this country enough to protect her.
Hey, now. My granny took a scrap of fabric and made a Barbie dress that is very similar. I thought it was very fashionable. Of course that was in 1964 and I was 6 years old.
In the other picture, it looks like Michelle went through her granny's sewing box and pulled out all the 1960's ric rac and fringe. That little guy is so trying not to barf.
Normally, I’d consider it un-gallant and gratuitous to comment on the First Lady’s appearance, but since the state-owned media insist on telling us Michelle is the reincarnation of Jackie O, I think it’s fair to comment. Michelle could definitely spend more time in the gym doing cardio, and she needs to push away from the table. For someone allegedly so well toned, it’s certainly not self-evident. Her fashion sense is, I believe, a new trend among the Fabian Socialist smart set; it’s early 21st Century post modern frumpy.

Amen Hildy. I am with you. I do wish she would “represent” us better but if she wants to look like a clown that is surely her choice. My “bug” is the fawning over her appearance by the media = that appearance, which is NOT normally good, yet breathtakenly fashion setting or favorable as reported.

Her clothing reminds me of an old SNL line (back when it was funny), about fashion models. The guy said “why don’t you in the fashion industry pick who you think are the nice-looking male models, and let the heterosexuals pick the good-looking female models.” I thought my hubby was going to squirt pop out of his nose, he laughed so hard.
Why on earth anyone would think Michelle Obama shopped anywhere other than in the “bathroom decor” section of a discount store is beyond me.
The woman’s clothes are an utter embarassment to every person in this country. Now THAT’s what Barry should be apologizing for, not our proud history as guardian of the world.
