A Harbinger: Please Assist With An Interpretation

Nap time today-about 3:21 pm:

Scene was an old-style Western that as a dreamer I came upon to witness. A man with a cloak was beating up on an elderly woman. At first he just punching her body, then he starting kicking her body and she crumpled to the ground. She didn't make much sound. She was gone, or near gone, but on he went. Now kicking her in the head. Then, to my shock he brought out a whip he had hidden in his cloak and started using that.

There was another person witnessing the activities--This gentleman was standing there looking toward the woman on the ground and the creep in the cloak, not really wanting to get involved, but he couldn't take it anymore. His face was dripping perspiration. I could almost touch the drops of sweat. He raised a large western style weapon, like a Colt, hand-gun type. (you know, he could hold it in one hand, but it had a longish barrel. Black, not silver).

He was afraid to interfere, but decided he that he'd had enough. Just as he was raising the gun to destroy the tormentor...someone stabbed him in the back, someone he trusted, but also didn't know was there. Down he went.

And I awoke.

That's it. Any ideas?

A variation of the crucifixion of christ. Mob mentality. evil. faith. etc.

It is a representation of your fear/hope that you will/wont be capable of doing the right thing when the time comes if it means laying down your life in the process. It’s a manifestation of the inner struggle between two basic desires. 1. the desire to live. 2. the desire to confront evil.

ie ultimate sacrifice for a cause greater than yourself.

Your subconscious is attempting to sort out these 2 conflicting desires and possibly trying to invent a third alternative that will satisfy both equally simultaneously.

Perhaps a person so focused in the injustice he sees in front of him, and fails to see the injustice coming up from behind until it was too late.

Gotta think about that one...injustice from behind.

Let’s say it IS about healthcare and the person can see the injustice to the elderly that would come right in front of his eyes. That he is willing to fight against.

Injustice that is hidden, or behind: something not seen at the time, but trusted once. The trusted will do the backstabbing.

Thanks much.

Obama has a lot of people rattled, imho. I think he screwed up Big Time with his healthcare bill, though. He has turned not only Republican, Independent and moderate seasoned citizens against it—he’s got a sizable number of Democrat seniors fighting mad about it also. I think we will look back at August 09 as the month the wheels came off the Obama administration—or at the very least started to come off.

I have the interpretation...

The elderly woman you saw in your dream was once beautiful, stately, confident, bold, and virtuous. In her youth, her Bride rescued her from bondage and persecution in Europe and cut the shackles from her feet. He promised He would give her the desires of her heart if she would trust Him, delight in Him, be committed to Him, and find her rest in Him. She doted on her Husband for many years, through good times and bad, and bore Him 2 children who loved her, clung to her, and promised to always protect her. They made her and her Husband proud (even though they fought a lot). She became renowned and feared in all the world and the seven seas. She was the salt of the earth; a city on a hill to all who passed by.

But something happened as she got older. She became dissatisfied with her Husband for her husband was away on business. He promised her He would never leave her or forsake her. He promised to come back as soon as He could to surprise her. But she could not wait for Him. She began to despise her riches, her comfort, her abundance, her commitment, her faith, and mostly Her husband.

She forbid her kids to learn of Him in their schooling. She removed all traces of her Husband's loving words from their schools, universities, and places of employment. Her treachery won over her oldest son who went along with her intrigues seeing that he could profit from her rebellion. He even became worse than his mother. Her youngest son stayed faithful to His father for many years, but as time went on, even he began to give in, hating to be left out and fearing what would happen to his money, his career, and his name if he was seen as a "fundamentalist".

The woman began to embrace other lovers and joined herself to whoever would take her. Often times she even paid them for the service, more shameless than a harlot. Her lovers took from her without giving back. They despised the grandchildren of the woman and persuaded her to kill them. Most of the grandchildren died while they were still in the womb. Her sons stood by and said nothing. The rest of the grandchildren that survived the 3rd trimester were enslaved with entertainment, drugs, and psychology. Only a small remnant of grandchildren remained free.

The woman became a slave to her vile affections and even did that which is unnatural and unseemly with her body with others. But many years of profligate living took its toll. She became bankrupt, beggarly, ashamed, and diseased. She was no longer bold, confident, and stately. She could no longer stand up to evil or finish anything she started for she had no moral courage.

The few free grandchildren tried to help her. With tears in their eyes they prayed for her and pleaded for her to return to the days of old when she remained faithful to the One who loved her. But the more they loved, the more she hated them. She passed laws to silence them. She encouraged others to persecute them. She traded the truth for lies and even began to jail some of them.

One day she met a man from the street who was like her in many ways. He promised her hope and change, from the grandchildren who tormented her so in calling her back to her first Love. In delight she gave him her hand and embraced him. Yet her new lover was cruel and demanded that she pay for each embrace. But in her bankrupt state, she no longer had the money to pay, so he began to beat her to extract money for him and his friends. When she still couldn't pay, he began to strike her even harder, hitting her in the head. In her dazed state, she could not even see the whip that was brought down upon her; a fitting punishment for the queen of fools.

As her two sons watched the abuse, neither would do anything. The oldest looked on in disinterest and the younger was paralyzed with fear because of the many enslaved grandchildren that loved the man from the street. Finally, the younger son’s conscience could take no more and he tried to stop the man from the street. But in an instant, the older son subdued the younger bringing him back into submission.

A short time later, the man from the street was gone. The woman lived, but she never recovered from the beating. In time she joined herself to another lover who was even worse than the man from the street and very much like a beast. He brought back the chains of the woman’s youth and killed off the free grandchildren who prayed for the woman. The sons submitted to the beast. They and the enslaved grandchildren accepted his chains of serfdom. The beast erased all memory of the true Husband and proclaimed himself as god. The woman, the sons, and the enslaved grandchildren worshiped him.

The beast only ruled a short time though, because the true Husband finally came back as He promised. With him were all the free grandchildren who were killed by the lovers, the woman, and the beast. The true Husband rescued the woman from the beast and brought back to her memory his Love of old. As if it were a distant dream, she remembered the kindness of the true Husband and vowed never to depart again. The true Husband and His helpers rounded up the the beast, the sons, and the enslaved grandchildren and brought them before Him to answer for their treachery. They were speechless and led away to judgment. The woman and her free grandchildren remained with the true Husband, happily ever after, forever.

Wow! That’s a great deal of interpretation and a very good one.

The woman is in trouble and her torch is going dark...
