But does anyone here really think Michael Steele’s “success” was not at least partly due to his race?
The calculus was this: “They’re running a black guy? Well we’ll make a black guy our party leader!”.
If it was anything other than that, then my apologies to Mr Steele. Unfortunately, their true success often get painted with the same brush.
Actually, Ken Blackwell (a black conservative) would have been a HUGE improvement over the RINO Steele.

Yep, I also voted for Blackwell but it was an uphill battle with RINOs like Taft and Bush to overcome. Blackwell’s one of the good guys.
