Did you take out the spaces between the brackets and the rest of the code....and the dots? :D I had to put spaces so it would show up on the page...just like with a picture.

The word flutter-by didn’t go between the quotes. The html code goes between the quotes. Flutter-by goes after the bracket to “close” the code and before the < /a > to end the clickable title.

Maybe someone with better instructions than I can help! LOL! Told you I wasn’t good at explaining! :D

Smoke is now visible in Denver, Polly.

Stay safe, hunny. Prayers are with you - and all in the path of this horrible nightmare.

WOW .... that fire looks too close for comfort, Polly. Your Orange moon is lovely but knowing that it is caused by the fire is so sad.

Thanks for sharing your pix with us.

HOW TO INSTALL A HOME SECURITY SYSTEM

1. Go to a second hand store and buy a pair of men’s used size 14 -16 boots.

2. Place them on your front porch, along with a copy of Guns & Ammo Magazine.

3. Put a few giant dog dishes next to the boots and magazines.

4. Leave a note on your door that reads:

Bubba,

Bertha, Duke, Slim, and I went for more ammo and beer. Be back in an hour.
Don’t mess with the pit bulls; they attacked the mailman this morning and
messed him up bad!

I don’t think Killer took part, but it was hard to tell from all that blood.

Anyway, I locked all four of ‘em in the house.

Better wait outside. Be right back.

Some of you may remember a couple of months ago, I mentioned an amazing new singer named Kevin Skinner, a 35 year old retired chicken farmer from Kentucky, whose audition I happened to catch on America's Got Talent. He sang "If Tomorrow Never Comes", a Garth Brooks song, and he blew the judges and the audience away - and me, too. His performance was all over YouTube the next day, and I posted a link to it here.

He keeps moving on to the next round, and each time after he sings, one of the judges has declared him the one to beat. Tonight was his third performance, and as shows like this normally 'save the best for last', once again he closed the show.

Here he is, singing Willie Nelson's "You Were Always On My Mind". I left two of the judges' remarks in at the end of the song. Enjoy!

I'll be back in the morning with more warm fuzzies.

You Were Always On My Mind ~ Kevin Skinner

Correction on above post - not a “retired” chicken farmer - rather an “unemployed” chicken farmer.

“not a “retired” chicken farmer - rather an “unemployed” chicken farmer”

In America, under the Iron Hand of Das Führer Obama and the Reichstag Congress, it is the same thing, Komrade!

Patience In Prison
[God] Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” —Hebrews 13:5

Have you ever noticed that other people’s forgetfulness can try your patience? As a college professor, I find my patience stretched when a student forgets to do an assignment that’s clearly spelled out in the syllabus.

In the Old Testament story of Joseph, we see a far worse example of forgetfulness—and we can only imagine how he struggled to be patient as a result.

While in prison, Joseph interpreted a dream of the king’s butler, which led to the man’s release. Joseph told him, “Remember me when it is well with you, and please show kindness to me; make mention of me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this house” (Gen. 40:14). It would seem that after Joseph had helped the butler gain freedom, remembering him would have been high on his “to do” list. But it was 2 years before the butler spoke to Pharaoh about Joseph (41:9). Finally, Joseph was freed.

Imagine the impatience Joseph felt as he waited each day in that dungeon (40:15)—perhaps thinking his only chance at freedom had passed. Yet Joseph had a resource: He had God’s presence (39:21), as do we (Heb. 13:5). When you’re feeling impatient, lean on the God who is always with you. He’ll turn your impatience into patient trust.

Tune your anxious heart to patience,
Walk by faith where sight is dim;
Loving God, be calm and trustful
And leave everything to Him. —Chambers

Patience means awaiting God’s time without doubting God’s love.
