More than two dozen motorcycles crashed on a freeway in Oregon on Friday, blocking traffic for hours, police said.
Oregon State Police said the bikers were behind a car when traffic unexpectedly slowed in the northbound lanes on Interstate 5.
The collision sent bikes scattering across the road, near Wilsonville, south of Portland.

These two were seen leaving the scene.
Left turn Clyde.
Not sure what outlaw means. Does it mean they aren’t sanctioned by the Dept. of Justice or is it they act likes outlaws?
Either way, prayers for all that were injured.
"At least ten people were injured in today's crash and this insider tells me that this has definitely put a damper on the weekend's festivities."
What’s the difference between Outlaws and In-laws?
Outlaws are wanted.
I wouldn’t want to be the guy in the first car they hit.
Motorcycle domino game ....
Thought of that movie too.
Darn. You got to it first! That was the first thing I thought of when I read the header.
There’s “outlaw motorcycle clubs”, and then there is an actual motorcycle club that actually calls themselves the outlaws.
Could be either one.
An outlaw motorcycle club is one that engages in drug sales and/or distribution, or is believed to do so. Bandidos, sons of silence, hells angels, etc.
If motorcycles are outlawed, only outlaw motorcycle gangs will have motorcycles.
I’ll bet at the next “outlaw motorcycle convention” these guys will be the laughing stocks.
OK thanks.
I thought motorcycles could stop in a much shorter distance than a car, owing to their lower mass.
Of course, you still have to pay attention.
The only difference between a biker and a vacuum cleaner, is the position of the dirt bag.
Front tires have very little rubber on the road compared to the back tire and of course all of the weight is on the front tire. I've also never seen a car cartwheel after a stiff application of the breaks like a motorcycle will.
There is only one situation when a motorcycle will stop in a shorter distance than a car, and that is when they meet head on.
Many years ago, when I was in high school, the motorcycle magazines used to test new models and publish statistics like stopping distance from 60 mph. It was startlingly short compared to that of most cars.
Bikers don’t ride high performance race bikes. They ride customized antique harley davidsons. Some of them lack front brakes.
The biggest danger in riding is not the cars, it’s the other bikers. They tend to ride in packs and they like to bunch up real close to each other. Reaction times are slowed from alcohol. When one biker makes a mistake, they all go down. Domino effect.
I was almost a victim of this domino effect while riding dead last in a group of 8-10 bikes. These weren’t outlaw bikers though. Just your average weekend bikers.
A very large dog ran across the highway 3 bikes ahead of me. No one was paying attention. I saw the dog in the ditch and saw the dog’s worried look and looked to the other side of the road and saw the dog’s owner. I knew right then the dog was scared of the motorcycle noise and would BOLT to be with it’s master on the other side. I hit my brakes even before the dog bolted. That’s why I didn’t go down with the rest of the bunch.
Lighter motorcycles perhaps and professional riders. It takes a lot of skill to stop on a dime and not cartwheel or change ends.
You’re really not an outlaw motorcycle gang until you’ve had an entire episode of Gangland dedicated to you.
