I just wanted to apologize to all I have hurt on FreeRepublic.com. I am sorry.

Just recently, I had the opportunity to see my old band leader from my CYO days. It was his 50th wedding anniversary, and I hadn’t seen him in so many years, he was old and gray, but...it was still him.
Still had all those facial expressions I remembered. I thought of what a good and decent man he has been, how he has devoted his life to music, teaching, and young people. As a teenager, there were times that I didn’t like him much, and I remember there were some times I made his job a little harder. Here he was, spending his own time, raising dozens of kids at the same time as if they were his own, and I had to be a wise ass.
As I stood there looking at him, I confided to one of the older people who had studied under him that I was going to apologize to him for occasionally being such a pain in the ass, and this older fellow looked at me and said gently:
“Get in line.”
