I love Rush..I do. But if my memory serves me correctly, he came forward about his vicodin addiction ONLY when he found himself being blackmailed...am I correct? I love Rush..I dislike hypocrites. Tell me where I'm wrong.
I have a few flaws too. Is it ok if I talk about Letterman.
After all, Letterman trashed Palin.
You’re wrong.
Hildy, isn’t it hypocritical for you to complain about Rush complaining about Letterman? And isn’t it hypocritical for me to complain about you complaining about Rush complaining about Letterman?
Dear Hildy, here is the simple fact.
Rush needed medication to stop the pain.
When one is in pain ...
Letterman had affairs with office staff.
There IS a difference.
Look, I despise Letterman..I hope that not only will his wife divorce him and take him to the cleaners..but also that these “staffers” sue him and CBS and he’s fired in disgrace. Why does it seem these days that the people that America is so generous to turn out to be such huge scumbags. I just started thinking about the day Rush got on his show and talked about his problems, that’s all.
My theory is that you can take your first Vicodin for a thousand good reasons.
You can’t take your first intern without having crossed the line.
LOL
I’ll bet the women’s libbers are cheering Dave on for making full use of the women under him.
I totally agree—an addiction to prescription medication is completely different than having numerous sexual relationships with subordinates. And aside from the fact that many of them could have felt compelled to service Letterman’s lust or be fired, did the objects of his attention receive special favors? Time off? Pay raises? Better assignments? If the employees that Letterman wasn’t having sex with (assuming for the sake of argument that there were some who didn’t have to **** the boss) were those employees given equal favors? Because if they weren’t, courts have found that to be a hostile work environment.
ROFLMAO!! Good one.
Oxycontin and oxcycondone are brand names for the same drug.
(1)Rush's joy is about Letterman's comments regarding the "family values" of Sarah Palin, her children, etc. and
(2)Rush's "addiction" began with legal, prescribed addictive pain medication given to him to help with the excruciating cervical pain (I'll admit here, I'm suffering from the same pain and thanks to Rush and his personal experiences, I've learned to refuse any prescription for Oxycontin from my doctors, who are still prescribing it to other chronic pain sufferers as myself.)
There is a huge difference between finding oneself addicted by a medication even going so far as to illegally attempting to get more when you find no doctor to write prescriptions for more and ridiculing each and every conservative for human frailties, while sexually preying on one's employees when they depend on you for their livelihood.
Actually, Rush broke laws...Letterman didn’t. Doctor shopping is against the law. Having sex with your staff is probably against Corporate policy, but as far as I know, there’s no actual LAW that was broken.
Why? Letterman is white trash of the lowest order. He needs to be talked about all day long.
Rush being addicted to pain killers doesn’t make him a ‘scumbag’. The chance of addiction is a published and known side affect of those pain killers, just like other medications have side affects of making your hair fall out or making you incontinent. Suffering the side affect of a medication is not a moral issue. Buggering members of your staff, however is a moral issue.
WAIT ONE SECOND HERE...so how about people who steal food because they can't afford it..I don't think that's a road you want to go down!
Except, if memory serves me correct, the charge he ‘doctor shopped’ or did anything illegal to get the medication was never proven, just an accusation thrown out.
