Once again, the medicore Washington Redskin offense fails to perform against the Panthers in a loss after being up 17-2.
There is plenty of criticism of Jim Zorn, but none of Jason Campbell. There has been plenty of criticism of Tony Romo and lack of winning the big game. Nor was there ever any lack of criticism of Eli Manning.
I am tired of hearing that Jason Campbell has had x number of coordinators in x years. So what, you are a big league QB. You have been in the NFL long enough to know what is required, get the ball down field.
I hate to bring up the subject of race, but living in the DC metro area, there has been no honest debate or criticsm of Jason Campbell.
His numbers so far this year are not bad, QB rating of 90.35.
Eli Manning's is 111.71 and Tony Romo's is 86.45. Donovan McNabb numbers are high, but he hasn't played a lot this year.
Just wanted to know what you all thought of this.
Well, the way things work in the NFL, if you fire the coach you are probably also changing the QB. Coaches like to bring in their own ‘guy’ and that usually means a QB who already plays their system. 9 times out of 10 this means that the current QB is a goner.
Yeah...he was lucky he could even stand up after that trip.
Is DC different? Could be...but as an NFC fan and observer, I think your OL is a bigger problem than Campbell; another quality receiver and a quick, cut-back runner like our Ahmad Bradshaw wouldn't hurt either. And throw more to Cooley...

What a performance that was. Quinn is their future. They should have made him the starter and then stuck it out. Aikman went 0-11 in his first season with the Cowboys. Quinn struggled a bit, but they yanked him way too soon.
As for Campbell, I'd say this is his last season. It will be his third full season as a starter, but he had to deal with a coaching and offensive scheme change. If Jim Zorn can't make you a successful NFL quarterback, no one can. My guess is Campbell will go the way of Joey Harrington and just about every QB who's played for Chicago the last 12 years.
Ummmm.....Tony Romo is Hispanic.
Couple all of that with limited field of vision and passing inaccuracy (unless he gets at least 6 seconds) and you complete his resume. He absolutely cannot handle play action. By the time he turns back to down field he has lost the whole playing field.
So I guess it's ok to be racist when it's a Mexican QB.

Don’t misunderstand me either...I think your question is absolutely legit. I thought with Zorn coming in, he would benefit from a former QB as a head coach, but Jason has not improved much. I think other things are worse on the ‘Skins than he is (for example, he doesn’t throw many picks, right? And how many sacks has he taken?) but if were the Giants QB, he would be a damn sight better.
If he wanted advice from black quarterbacks, he should have contacted Doug Williams. But then again, Doug Williams might be affended to be referred to as anything other than a “Super Bowl” winning quarterback....

There seems to be 3 types of QB’s in the NFL now:
1. the pocket QB who has a just enough mobility, quick release or brute strength (pick 2) to make it work;
2. the highly mobile QB who will take off & run if his 1st or 2nd receiving option is covered; and
3. the Wildcat QB who is there to run first, pass 2nd.
Everybody wants a Cat #1 QB, but there are so darned few of them that make it. Cat #2 QB’s can bring instant credibility to an offense, but often have trouble developing into a well-rounded QB.
I think that the future is with the Wildcat QB. Guys like Tim Tebow are going to have an immediate impact in the NFL because the spread/wildcat formation seems to open up the running game. NFL defenses haven’t really caught up with it yet.
Jason Campbell is the reason I don’t have Sunday Ticket this year.
Colt was hurt during the pre-season and is out for the year.
Sounds like he doesn't trust his receivers to be where they are supposed to be. I watched Peyton Manning on Sunday -- simply amazing watching him hit his 3rd receiver right on the button. He just knows where everybody is without looking. Of course his workouts are legendary.
In the NFL, a good quarterback isn't determined by what their physical abilities are, it is their ability to mentally pick up the game at the extreme speed that the game is today. And a lot of great college QBs are unable to make that adjustment in the pros. It doesn't matter if they have a bullet of an arm. It's something you either have or you don't.
Did not know that, bummer.
