I am so sorry to post a vanity, but I am desperate and you guys are so smart around here...
I am working in "My Math Lab" on course compass. They use Quicktime Video for instruction (some of the course is online) and for some reason the Quicktime video is now just playing the audio. When you click on the video, the box opens as if it is starting the video, the Quicktime logo will pop up, the status bar goes to the center of the box and the screen remains black while you can still hear the audio.
I have uninstalled Quicktime, reinstalled Quicktime. I don't know if the newer version is having a codec problem with mymathlab or what. But I don't know how to go back and get a previous version as all Quicktime links (even the ones on older webpages) link to the newest version.

    Thanks guys.

This happened to me the other day. Update Quicktime to latest version and it was fixed.

My wife had the exact same problem after I updated her laptop to the latest version of Quicktime. Tech support told her that the math lab software doesn’t work with the newest version, so she had to uninstall it and then go back and install the older version. That fixed it.
I believe the version you need is 7.60.92.0

This is a very common problem with Quicktime. If it isn’t a developer issue (I’ve goofed with my publish settings before and didn’t properly test). One way to try a fix is to remove one of the plug-ins. Remove this file: /Library/Plug-ins/QuickTime Plugin.webplugin
It forces it to use the full QT player, not just the plugin.

I initially misread your post. I’ll call the DEA back and tell them to never mind.

You're welcome. My wife was very happy to get her back too.
Much easier to understand that way.

You might try using a different browser - if IE, try Firefox, if Firefox, try IE, etc.

Are you using Firefox? Sometimes you can experience problems like that but if you view it with Internet Explorer it will work.
