I’m looking for a new career. Maybe I’ll try being an “African American.”
So what is this anyhow. Stress on the affirmative action jobs?
...that’s nice - I thought we were over this - I mean didn’t the country get slapped in the face and told we needed to move ahead and elect a black president - but color isn’t suppose to matter...
(note: I have an adopted daughter who’s mixed - so if someone is going to call me racist - don’t - because I’m not - I look at personality - and this web site has none)
I’m about 90% sure that I missed a job opportunity because I was the wrong color. Interestingly, I later found the position heavily promoted on Black Careers dot com.

This month I have been seeing on the paper tray mats at McDonalds that this was “Hispanic Franchise Owners Month” or some such thing.

Get an interview.
Have their socks fall off when you walk in the door, as "White".
Go through the interview, get rejected.
File a class-action, racial discrimination suit against them. (Take a hidden camera, James and Hannah-style).
I thought the civil rights movement was all about equality and having a place at the same table? Not a special table of their own.....where only they are allowed to sit and...........oh never mind. I’m a racist for even bringing this up according to Al Sharpton.

I believe the NFL has “hispanic appreciation” month now. Yes, I know the spanish have contributed too many players to the NFL to even count......and the NFL is overflowing with soo much latino history lets declare a month of appreciation over it and..........the NFL has tickets to sell.....and....hey everyone, its half time, get ready for a tribute to Ricky Martin.......

I told my wife to apply to every job listed and go on as many interviews as possible, then when rejected we make that call to high profile lawyer....
I am calling the White Congressional Caucus and demand an investigation....

Actually, I’m more of a peach color than white. What if one applied as “peach”.
And Eric Holder... what a freaking gem. I haven't figured out whether he makes a living by decrying racism while practicing it in his spare time, or if he makes a living by practicing racism while decrying it in his spare time.

It is of course illegal, but will never be investigated. However, any site called White Careers would be shut down in a second by the federal thought control police.
If there was a jobs website for white people only they would be sued on day one.
So as a test, on 5 jobs I have applied for, I didn't fill out the EEOC paperwork. I got calls back on all 5...3 of them to ask if I would fill out the paperwork...the other 2 called for a phone interview...then dropped all conversation after my race was discovered.
It's a hard place in jobland right now folks...and it's not getting better
I have a DNA genealogy thingy that says my ancestors came from Africa. Shouldn’t that prove that I’m African-American? LOL. Maybe every whitey (like me) in America is African-American.
And would probably run afoul of some EEOC or Labor Department laws somewhere.
It is what is called BACKLASH. And it is building steadily and strongly each day. Soon, outside of proclaiming martial law, it will be unstoppable. Those people are really going to be amazed and speechless who brought this "payback" about. The middle aged, middle class, White American male backlash (a huge segment of the population) in this country is going to be of historic propotions.
And this is not racist to say this. Just a demographic and a political observation, entirely objective in nature.

I am so tired of pink men bombing brown children and rationalizing it as fighting terrorism. I am so tired of pink men telling women (of all colors) what to do with their wombs—which connect with their brains—in case you forgot. I am so tired of pink men telling us we should stay in Iraq for generations. I am so tired of pink men buying bombs and cheating schools. I am so tired of pink men having wives who stand behind them and nod sagely on television. I am so tired of pink men expecting that someone—a brown, black, yellow or white woman—will trail behind them changing light bulbs, taking out garbage, washing laundry, keeping food in the house, taking care of kids of all ages, of parents of all ages.

BTW, I'm a statistician...The percentages are astounding across all job segments.
The statement during the presidential campaign about the government not giving a dime to anyone that wasn't of color is coming to fruition. You want to talk about divisive...Years of progress in ethnic relations wiped out by one administration that thrives on a divided population.
What if you are a white person born in S. Africa, are you not “African-American”?
I was in a seminar in Japan a number of few months back. There was an a visiting US labor law attorney who was a guest speaker. It was right after the Presidential elections. The guy said in a public seminar, I kid you not (and this was addressed primarily to Japanese companies that had operations in the USA), that if the US economy gets even worse in upcoming 2009, and you have to lay off people, you best lay off White People primarily, because they will have less recourse to a discrimination suit against the layoff under US law, than if you laid off say African-Americans first, and particularly your being a Japanese firm. I kid you not. I was floored. I think it may even be illegal to have offered this advice, although it was done on foreign soil. He said that once you lay off minorities back in the USA, and particularly in the upcoming Obama Administration, then you risk a lawsuit in return if you do not have all your reasons for downsizing airtight with HR, and have also made an effort to lay off White Americans first. That will make your blood boil, wont it??
What is a “Black Job”? “Ho”, “Pimp”, “Thug”, “Dealer”, “ACORN representative”...?

Geez, had I know that African American had a career path, I would’ve made smarter choices. LOL
great - let’s keep on separating the classes...I believe someone said (Maybe Rush) - that 0bama was gearing up to start a class warfare situation in order to get re-elected.
I guess it has already started at the largest food chain in the world...
