Gee, why didn't I think of doing this when I got the "response" from my Congress crittur, Niki Tsongas, who sent three pages of unresponsive boilerplate in reply to my letter begging her not to support HR3200. She was "educating me," you see, because I'm obviously such a moron to have raised the issues I did. Anyhoot, clearly she intends to vote for anything Nancy Pelosi throws her way.

I attended a Tsongas town hall meeting in August. In order to enter, I had to check my purse. No one was allowed in with personal baggage of any description. Yep, little ol' dangerous bb, all 102 pounds of me. I was astonished by Tsongas' paranoia. (And totally disgusted....)

I would have rephrased the questions, it’s a little hard to follow with the double negatives.

Instead of “Will you vote “no” on a ...? If not, why not?”

I would have asked “How will you vote on a ...? Why?”

Other than that, spot on!

Why does the goverment get to dictate to health care providers how much they will pay for a service, the insurance companies get to “negotiate” how much they will pay, and the consumer gets stuck with the over-inflated tab picking up the costs the other two (PLUS deadbeats who use services they won’t pay for)?

One price for all. End the scam that “Medicare/Medicade” is cost effective. They don’t pay the full costs, other people pick up the tab. I’ve already paid my contribution for this out of my paystub, don’t hit me with a backdoor tax anytime I go to the doctor.

That happens to me every time I write my Senators or Representative. It makes me wonder if they actually correspond with any of their constituents.
