I'm Tired...

I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth around” to people who don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy or stupid to earn it...

Did a search and didn't see this posted. Pretty much sums up the way a lot of Americans feel these days.

It's a love of freedom.

I'll give my labor to who I want to and when I want to....and do so MUCH more efficiently I might add.

Me, too. I was reading a thread last night where FReepers were telling about their encounters with deadbeats using food stamps (although these days I guess they use *debit cards*) in grocery lines.

These deadbeats were buying steaks, expensive snack foods, etc. using OUR MONEY!!

Sure, I buy steaks....once every never.

Good post. I feel this way too. I just feel there is no hope. No reason to try. It doesn’t matter who we elect, the government just keeps getting bigger, taking more money in taxes, supporting stupid lazy people.

Well, we have no one but ourselves to blame. How many times have the more vocal among us call for protests or any other form of activism only to be told, “Conservatives don’t do things like that!”. So we just played the part of doormat and look where we are? However, one year of organizing, mobilizing, networking and we pushed Obamacare back more than 6 months. The proof is in the pudding.

“We all declare for liberty; but in using the same word we do not all mean the same thing. With some the word liberty may mean for each man to do as he pleases with himself, and the product of his labor; while with others, the same word may mean for some men to do as they please with other men, and the product of other men’s labor. Here are two, not only different, but incompatible things, called by the same name — liberty. And it follows that each of the things is, by the respective parties, called by two different and incompatible names — liberty and tyranny.”

—Abraham Lincoln

Read “Atlas Shrugged.” Then take a long vacation and wait for Obamanomics to self-destruct.

"people who don’t have my work ethic"

I have had personal experience of a very small sample of Section 8 recipients. Firstly, the house they were to occupy had to be upgraded from what the owner had accepted when she lived in it herself. Once installed, the proud tenant popped babies out from different fathers, thus ensuring larger and larger cash handouts for herself. As for working - no!

I knew a similar young lady who did the same thing. In addition to having more children just to get the bigger check, she was also eligible for “free” daycare for the kids. SO, not only did we pay for her to have them, feed them, and house them; but also paid for someone else to watch them so she could sit on her porch and smoke all day.

I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth around” to people who don’t have my work ethic.

I know this refers to welfare and entitlements and so forth, but I run across this on my job.

'Gotta work harder to take up the slack and increase output because management refuses to fire the 'Protected', the drunks and the just plain stupid and lazy.

Seems you can't escape liberalism even on the job.

I'm self-employed in an industry filled with at least 90% liberals/socialists. It does get discouraging at times dealing with so much dishonesty, backstabbing and lack of ethics.

I am proud I never avoid acknowledging my conservative Christian values and now rather enjoy to ask "them" about their messiah's "hoax & chains".

I commented to a conservative friend yesterday that I had called the Ohio AG’s office to complain about the health care bill and is the AG going to look into it. I asked him to do the same, he responded, “And get a tax audit?” So most people are afraid to speak up...what has this government come to? Corruption, liberal spending...too much to list.

Thank GOD for child support collect - deadbeat dads are forced to support their OWN children. And it's about damn time...
