Brown invited Rudy Giuliani...

why not SP ?

I think she is being black balled by some in our party and she seems to be playing along, not fighting back.

Getting tired though about all the sordid details of Mrs. Palin’s personal life...the appearance on Oprah, the child support situation with her daughter's ex-boyfriend...this stuff distracts from real issues and that's what Mrs. Palin should be focused on...not publicity about her personal life.

I suppose she wants a lot of face time, perhaps to promote a future run for the White House. But appearing on Oprah just turns me off. And it might do Mrs. Palin more harm than good.

Do you realize that former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney’s people were the backbone of Scott Brown’s campaign? Do you think that Governor Romney is going to let Governor Sarah Palin come in and take ANY credit for getting Senator Brown elected (or goof it up)? Think about that...

mccain has done more damage to conservatives in America then any single person in history, IMHO. The Sarah I believed in would not actively support keeping a man like that in the GOP leadership. I was a big believer and supporter of her’s, but now she is no better then mccain. Yes I would vote for her in a general election over someone like obumber. But I will never support her in a primary or with my money or time.

I posted this on another thread earlier this evening, and the Palin worshipers immediately pounced with all emotion, no substance. I stand by my comment:

Yeah, well those of you that have a love affair with Sarah Palin going on had better take another look. I could never really understand the infatuation other than the more the Dems attacked her, the more the Pub base rallied around her. Other than that, from what I’ve seen is she has a charismatic personality and is a nice woman, but otherwise not particularly impressive as presidential material.

My distrust of where she stands on lots of issues, which I can’t figure out, is based on the fact that she was willing to partner up with John McCain for his presidential run in the first place. We all know what McCain’s policy stances are, and they are RINO to the max on all but a few issues. She was willing to back him and become his yes woman as VP should he have won. And we all know what those policy issues would have been, pro illegal immigration and amnesty, anti-waterboarding and/or “torture” of jihadists and their ilk, pro cap and trade, etc. etc. etc. And Sarah as VP would be parroting his policies.

Now that he has lost, she still has his back by campaigning for him. Her “loyalty” to him (even though all of his advisers during the campaign and until this very day have backstabbed her continually) supersedes what she should know is loyalty to the best policies for this country as a whole, not the individual (McCain) who opposes many of them.

I don’t trust her, I don’t trust those who claim they are mavericks, and like McCain, are more willing to attack their own Party than the opposition Party, as Sarah Palin is also wont to do. I hope somewhere along the line the Freepers on this website start to think about her with less emotional passion and more cool, logical thinking.

I am looking at other candidates to carry our banner in the next presidential election, as I can’t see Sarah Palin winning. Her negatives have been driven too high, not of her own doing, but nevertheless the end result is as it is, and her lack of ability to talk specifics over generalities on too many subjects is not a good sign as to her depth of knowledge on so many issues.

Hopefully, her being a Fox News contributor will help her to hone her skills on a variety of world topics and domestic issues. That will help I would surmise, In the back of my mind, I really don’t think she will run for President. Just a gut feeling. We shall see. Perhaps her being on Fox will have the same effect as Huckabee has had by being constantly in the public’s eye; however, how many of you are happy with that result, catapulting Huckabee into a major contender should he choose to run for President again. The law of unexpected consequences.

For too many, I believe Sarah Palin, not unlike when Obama ran and won, is a tabula rasa (a blank slate) upon which we the people fill it in with our political wishes and hopes. It didn’t work out real well with Obama, and I surely don’t want another mistake by hiring someone whom no one knows where he/she is really coming from politically. I want someone I can trust to not be another John McCain.

He should retire he has ties with Soros. He has also has/had ties with ACORN/SEIU. Mccain repeatedly has bashed his own party for the wrong reasons. He is for amnesty, worked along with Ted Kennedy.
This is also the same guy that repeatedly said there wasn't anything wrong with obama. I am not a fan of Palin, but she is deliberately ruining her political chances,if she had one to begin with...

*watching palinistas heads explode*

I know Im going to anger people for saying anything negative against Palin but let be honest she will never be president.

As to helping McCain, that’s just being prudent.

I have no idea why he did not invite Sarah. Although it could be all the Romney people in his campaign.

But let me ask, if you were her adviser, what would you have her do? What plan of action should she follow? Should she just show up uninvited? What should she do?

I don’t feel like McCain really deserves her support either, but she almost has to support him, doesn’t she? If she doesn’t, she will come off as mean spirited and petty.

I feel like she’s in between a rock and a hard place here.

Is the GOP somehow hoping to work this out for McCain’s advantage and guarantee his re-election by a loyal Palin following? If that’s the case, they are grasping at straws. I believe Palin followers are too smart to fall for that.

Dear God, please tell me Sarah isn’t going to attract the “nobility” disease and come to town to spend four years trying desperately to show the dems how nice and reasonable she is in the hopes that they will listen to reason and work with her.

She didn't exactly do that as Governor of Alaska...

Her actions as of recently is that she is someone who has accepted her place and she is willing to stay in the backseat and let RINO’s lead.

that is not good...

I love Sarah palin but i understand altogether what you mean and how you mean it. I wish she would stay clear of those who aren’t in her corner and even, when it’s necessary, tell them to blow off. If she is firm in her convictions she should act like it and show no compromise.
I for one am sick of compromise and tolerance. You can not compromise with people who are willing to destroy either you or your country to suit their own selfish ambitions.

Let’s not become the mirror of 0bama worshipers that put too high of expectation on Sarah Palin, or put our own projection on what she will or should do as a messiah. She might share some of our concerns, but not necessarily all of them. Even in those issues that she is with us, she might see the way to achieve things differently.

“B. Didn’t you see the “Romney” circling the new senator like a big old plastic buzzard?”

That big old plastic buzzard was with Scott Brown and encouraging him to run from the very gitgo. He also financed Scott Brown at the very beginning of his campaign when he didn’t have any money yet to campaign with. Scott Brown might not have even got off the ground without Romney’s help. But of course you will ignore all of that and trash Romney anyway. This comment of mine will fall on deaf, biased ears.

It has less to do with policy and more about Palin's lack od self respect.

On the contrary, her choices show great self-respect and respect for others.

I respect her decsion to support McCain.
