US Economic Collapse Survial Map!
Economic Vindicator! ^ | 1-26-10 | James

Where is the best place to live in the country in the event of economic collapse? A US Army veteran employs to use of computer graphics and a host of social-economic-environmental factors to share his conclusions....which are fairly obvious!

One of the most important things will be in an area that can cut itself off. In the month or two after a general collapse you want to be on an island, way up in the mountains or best of all near an army base, with friends on the inside. Look I don’t care if you have a cabin in the country with 1500 rounds of ammo. When 8 million starving gang bangers, drug dealers, welfare queens and other associated Obama voters show up you are going to be overrun. Remember they are all armed too, and even if they are shooting their pistol sideways, there are simply millions of them.

On the other hand an infantry division will take care of these types with little effort. Even if the M1A2s run out of gas, towed artillery can still break up a human wave attack. Lacking an army, get yourself into a militia. On your own you are toast, in a group, especially a group that can lay down some serious firepower, you have a chance.

Basically concerns about frost lines, agriculture and the like will be very secondary in the first few months. Staying away from other people will be the key to survival.

“Urban Survival” is a myth, and a lie. Unrest will be controlled with food, as the population is not sustainable from the land.

Depending upon the strength of any military putting down insurrection, “raiding” (live close to Urbania, raid Urbania, return to the woods) is not even a very viable thing to plan for.

Survival will require the ability and determination to walk of into the mountains (desert, swamp), and never look back.

And “Winter” isn’t so bad, if you know how to deal with it. It will certainly weed out the wanna-bes. The swamps and desert have their own means, I suppose.

” be on an island, way up in the mountains “

Plan in place....Let them boat or swim in. Like sitting ducks!

I tell folks that if the SHTF they have not seen anything. It will be the first day of deer season everyday. I live 80 miles from Memfrica and worry about the fallout from there. The diverse individuals will not go West into Arkansas, they will move in droves to Mississippi and West Tennessee. I have stored food, ammo, and made provisions for water but still am not comfortably safe. There are several of us that are starting to merge so that if its TEOTWAWKI, we can band together for protection.

One of the most important things will be in an area that can cut itself off. - check, we can

...in a group, especially a group that can lay down some serious firepower, you have a chance. - check, close to family and good neighbors of like mind that will stick together

...agriculture and the like will be very secondary in the first few months. - check, prepared to raise/acquire own food, if situation lasts that long

Staying away from other people will be the key to survival. - check, that's the plan.

By the time all the zombie hoards descend on us, everything else will have been decimated. We'll then go to plan B, C, D.....

If/when things fall apart.

THE GOVERMENT WILL NOT BE YOUR FRIEND.

If the government learns you have supplies you will be called a hoarder and they will take them.

The main thing you need for survival is planing now.

You need food stores and ammo they will not be available.

you will need seeds to plant the garden and supplies to can or preserve them.

These need to be in place where you plan to hide out.

The metro-sexual male will be the first to go...then the feminazi's. They cannot survive outside of the city or government...

Tough times make tough people...many of us are too soft...Cross the Rocky's in a covered wagon was not done by the wussies..

Many will toughen up right quick, but many wouldn't even know how to..

Actually the best place to be, bar none, would be the big island of Hawaii. You have cattle, farms, even coffee and rum. It has plentiful rainfall, no cities, can easily cut itself off from the rest of the world. It also is one of the only places where solar makes sense, at least on the half of the island where it isn't always raining. And there is always geothermal. Oahu is going to fly apart like a jet turbine ingesting an anvil, but the big island should come out of any collapse quite nicely.

Thanks for the link. My area is one of the areas recommended, that is the area where MS/TN/AL come together. We already know the area fits some of the criteria but worry that the direct roads from Memfrika to the area may pose a problem.

This is messed up. You can easily survive freezing temps if you have a cozy cabin and plenty of available firewood.

Yeah, but what are you gonna do for veggies?

Well aren’t you silly. Just go to firewood.com and place your order.

Expect one week for delivery.

It’s easier to survive bone-chilling winter cold than it is to survive malaria.

And the least hardy will migrate south at the first hard winter, freeing up northern resources.

I’d MUCH rather be in the North Woods, than the disease-ridden swamps of the south, especially after the mass migration.

What do you think about staying on a boat off the Jersey coast. That would give you the flexibility to move around off shore. Stock it with fresh water, and dried meats.

You can easily survive freezing temps if you have a cozy cabin and plenty of available firewood.

Cut wood takes over a year to cure - and squaw wood - the stuff you can pick up in a forest - won't keep a cabin warm for a week - especially if others are also gathering. Heating with wood - which I did years ago - requires a working chain saw, access to gasoline, and replacement parts.

It could be done - but it would take a lot more time and discipline than most think.
