NEW YORK (Reuters) Tough fishing boat captain Phil Harris, whose brave exploits in the wild waters off the Alaskan coast were captured on the popular television show "Deadliest Catch," has died, family members said. He was 53.

With all his health issues I am not surprised. I will bet that the cause of this death is directly linked to that nasty clot he had in his lungs a couple of years ago.

A steady diet of stress, coffee, Red Bull and cigarettes could not have helped, either. Nevertheless and whatever his faults, Capt Phil was a real man among men. The world’s less for his loss..
