In a recent column for CNN.com, fiery political analyst Roland Martin urged the President of the United States to get down and dirty with his political adversaries. Like, you know, jump ugly and go all street thug on 'em. Clearly spoiling for a fight — and with a curious, chest-bumping homage to the nasty culture of radical rappers — Martin wrote:

Obama's critics keep blasting him for Chicago-style politics. So, fine. Channel your inner Al Capone and go gangsta against your foes. Let 'em know that if they aren't with you, they are against you, and will pay the price.

You don't find too many gangstas with Harvard educated Kenyan fathers and rich Puget Sound mothers who grew up in mansions in Hawaii, Indonesia and the rich part of Chicago. In fact, I'm probably more gangsta than 0bama, And this is coming from a black guy that did all of this today: Ate a heart shaped pizza with artichoke hearts and mushrooms for toppings with his red haired girlfriend. Rode a 400 dollar mountain bike that's not from Target, Wal Mart or Kmart. Played tennis ball hockey with a family. Is currently wearing a Minnesota Golden Gophers hockey jersey. Plans on picking up his snowpants from his grandfather so he could go snowboarding with his girlfriend in a Saint Paul suburb. Is listening to rock music on my mp3 player, including some very esoteric Shinedown cuts from their latest album. Wearing boot cut tight jeans. And I will be still WAYYYYYYYYY more gangsta than that fraud will ever be. Oh, by the way, my nickname in my area is "Carlton".
