Zoey the Chihuahua is definitely not a lap dog.
This five-pound dog has the courage of a lion. When Zoey saw a rattlesnake lunge at her owners one-year-old grandson, the bulldog came out of her.
The child was in the backyard when a snake slithered up to the toddler and struck. Zoey jumped in between the child and the snake and took all of the bites instead.
She was treated for her bites and is doing well now. Zoeys owner says that These little bitty dogs, they just dont really get credit.
Zoey, you definitely deserve a gold star and a rub on the belly for your brave heroism.
I've never heard that before.
Why?
Who? WHat?
Because all dog breeds are the same and if Pit Bulls are dangerous, so must Chihuahuas be.
“Chihuahuas dont know theyre little. They see no difference between a Saint Bernard and themselves.”
Yep. I was down at my Son’s the other night and they had company who brought their dog over. She was a large German Shepherd Husky mix. Looked like a wolf.
Son’s Chihuahua jumped off his lap and then jumped up and bit her on the shoulder. Luckily the big dog just ignored the Chihuahua.
Pure bred Chihuahuas can be cute dogs...but every dog I’ve seen that is “part chihuahua” is uglier than sin.
>>... come to think of it, “Bandersnatch” would be a great name for a Chi-Hua-Hua!<<
I am going to keep that in mind! GREAT idea!
Yeah, doesn’t Chet99 always post articles about chihuahuas attacking humans? LOL
I have had a few chihuahuas and have one now, they are quite entertaining, they think that they are rottweilers.
My wife convinced me to take a Chihuahua with one of her "you can sleep on the couch forever" motivational speeches, but I have to say that I love the little fella.
I'm just glad that he isn't a rottweiler because he can be vicious with outsiders who come to the house.
Ban pit vipers.
That looks like my beloved Musica.
Thanks! :)
>And people want to outlaw the breed.
Go figure.<
Well heck, idiots in assorted states and in insurance companies have got a head start already:

How’s that for scary? Are you as a responsible owner, of one of these dog breeds wide awake now? How about just owning a dog that looks like one of these restricted or banned dog breeds?
I always laugh at little dogs who don’t know they are small. My golden is always getting rushed by the little dogs around here. Of course, she is friendly and just wags her tail, so they generally make friends, but most of them are not afraid of anything. :)
Yeah, but when Chihuahuas go bad...watch your ankles!
Actually, my son and his wife are in the process of *adopting* (I hate that word, you adopt children not pets)a small dog from a local shelter. It is a chihuahua/maltese mix. I have to admit she’s pretty cute, has that scruffy dog look. If they get her I will post pix and you can judge for yourself.
I once read that small dogs like that are better guard dogs because they will not actually attack an intruder, they will bark up a storm but stay away so it’s hard for the burgler to get them and stop them. Don’t know if that’s true, I just know anything is a better guard dog than my golden!
