While Andy McCarthy at NRO calls the EO "blatant chicanery" I think Stupak and his Gang of 12 were a gigantic fraud to begin with. Both Pelosi and the Pro-Abort Dems gave him the middle finger when he tried to add to the Reconciliation Fix the earlier Pro-Life language passed by the House. With nowhere to go, rather than sticking to principle as did the Pro-Abort Dems, he searched for a convenient "fig-leaf" exit. This is why he and his disreputable gang are a bunch of frauds.

If a Dem were truly pro-life he or she would not be a Dem.
So, how safe are these folks in their seats? If you want to repeal this and make sure it never comes back, there has to be a price paid by those who vote yes.
If they were pro life they wouldnt keep Pelosi in power. On the Senate side Reid is not quite as bad but it is the same deal. And of course some of them lie thru their teeth to get elected, like Sen. Tester of MT.

To see Stupak arguing against the Stupak amendment, and then start spouting Seamless Garment rhetoric, claiming the Democrats are the “real” pro-lifers—it was obvious where his real loyalties are—with the Democratic Party. He is not and never has been pro-life. He was always an impostor—a Democrat who knew he could fool lots of his constituents.
