When I was 15, I became politically active. Why? Simple, I watched our Congress claim the passage of a very bad amendment on a very good piece of legislation. I'm talking about the Hughes Amendment to the Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986.
The vote on the Hughes Amendment was a clear and resounding NO, but it was passed anyway. I didn't quite understand at the time, but I found it confusing that something passed that had been clearly voted against.
This bit of Congressional deception opened my eyes to just how corrupt our politicians were and remain to be today.
Since then, I've fought for our Constitutional rights, specifically our 2nd Amendment rights on almost every level. I warned many in Congress that passage of the 1994 semi-auto ban would spell the end of their careers. I was laughed at. I laughed last on that one. I warned the Republicans that we, the gun owners of this nation, had given them Congress. We expected results. We got nothing.
In 2000, I told Frank Wolf and other Congressional members that if pro-active firearms laws were not introduced and passed, Republicans would lose Congress after the sunset of the 1994 ban. In 2006, I was proved correct. I had also told them that they needed to pass pro-gun legislation or we would take our fight to the courts and the gun owners would abandon the Republican party. In 2008, we lost the White House to the Dems.
Dick Heller won his case before SCOTUS openning doors for a much more satisfying and responsive avenue for restoring our 2nd Amendment rights. The ink on the decision was still drying when a plethora of follow up cases were filed. The most notable being the McDonald v. Chicago case. This challange will do what the spineless Republicans had 12 years to do and FAILED. We will have Incorporation.
I'm giving this one last warning to the Republican party. Our rights are being tampered with and stripped by Obama and his ilk. This Health Care Law is the last straw. We the People are tired of it. You will win back the House and Senate in November. WE THE PEOPLE expect to see YOU, our elected officials work to restore our rights, specifically, our 2nd Amendment rights so that we may be secure against someone such as Obama making a hostile assault on our way of life in the future.
We the People expect the following...
1. Repeal of the 1934 NFA. 2. Repeal of the Hughes Amendment USC 18 922 (o). 3. Repeal of the "special purpose" clause of the 1968 Gun Control Act. 4. Nation wide recognition of concealed carry documentation for ALL people. 5. Major Congressional hearings, oversight and investigation into the conduct and abuse of power by the BATFE.
We the People WILL see the above five goals met either by legislative means or litigative means. The choice is up to the Republican Party. You can reap the rewards in helping to secure our rights and enjoy our support, or we'll abandon you and take our fight though the courts. We will win this fight, you can be with us or against us, you will not be allowed to play both sides of the fence or sit on the fence this time.
Over the past 20+ years, I've given thousands of dollars to various political campaigns in the hopes that someone might actually fight for our rights. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.
I publically challange the Republican party to accept this mission to secure the rights of the citizens and publish the acceptance of this challange for all to see. If they do, I expect the party to follow through with the fight. If the Republican Party will not do this, do not expect me to support you financially, or by staffing polls, call centers, or going door to door, or anything else I've done in the past ever again.
So, in closing, I'm calling out the leadership of the Republican Party... put up or shut up. I'm tired of being BS'ed and lied to. I know of several elected officials that monitor FR and they may even post here. I'm not exactly hard to get in touch with, I'll help craft the legislation or help with research or history if that will get you moving...

Gonna need a score board to start telling them apart.
They are all a part of the same thing...Americans rising all over the country to throw off the socialist/marxists. The efforts are complimentary and will come together to accomplish the goal.

Good list, though I disagree with numbers 4 & 5. Number 4, because denying conceal-carry does not deny the right to keep and bear arms and there is some logic for that, which I will demonstrate at the end. Number 5, I disagree with because the ATF should not exist at all... it should not merely have “its powers reduced,” but instead be dismantled.
The logic for denying that concealed carry is a ‘right’:
1) You may keep and bear arms w/o hiding them, I did it every day while deployed in Iraq.
2) While it is true that CCW _permit_ holders are statistically one of the most law abiding groups, it is NOT true that people that conceal their weapons ARE. In fact (disregarding concealment laws) the people that carry concealed weapons are disproportionately the most lawless of society (robbers, gangs, etc) & CCW permit-holders are not the majority of this group.
Repeal of the Brady Bill and NICS or executing the background checks in a way that the name is NEVER in the governments possession (publish a list of those prohibited so dealers can check it), and VERIFIABLE destruction of all old 4473’s. Penalties for non-compliance.
If you can get that tape for me, I can make it go nuclear. We need to talk later.

Including the SAS, there is also the JPFO and any number of worthy organizations.
