For The First Time, Police Use Taser Gun to Subdue Phillies Fan

Philadelphia police found a new way to tame an unruly fan at Citizens Bank Park during the Phillies game, they tased him.

It happened Monday night at the start of the eighth inning with the Phillies trailing the Cardinals.

A teenage fan waving a rally towel jumped the fence and ran out into center field with stadium security and a Philadelphia police officer in pursuit.

The police officer then fired a taser at the fan to bring him down

Amazes me too. Big government and big police power for trifling offenses, and many Freepers love it. This was just a dumb kid.

Last year a fight in the parking lot lead to a fan getting killed.The Phillies organization,big beer and Philadelphia Police were blamed relentlessly by the lame Philadelphia media.Now some fool runs on the field and we have to show restraint and Philly haters come out from under their rocks.I do have to say Rizzo would be proud.This is the same day a maniac at a Target store slashed four people.

It is common knowledge to all baseball fans that you don't run onto the field or you are subject to arrest. One should not have to post a sign for every possible offense, especially when the offense is common knowledge.
