Video of Stray Cat Comforting A Fallen Friend (Get the Kleenex)

Check out this video from Turkey of a stray cat comforting his
fallen friend. Sometimes we forget that even animals can feel
the loss of a loved one. I have known humans who displayed
less emotion over the loss of a friend or relative than this cat
does. On this, the day we celebrate our beloved Mothers, I ask
that you remember to tell your friends that you love them
also. After all, there will come a day when it will be to late.

I’m an animal lover. I have two cats and four dogs, and frankly, I can’t bear to watch this. I was brought to tears when I saw the dog try to help his fallen friend on the highway. The picture alone stirred sad emotion in me.

With it being Mothersday, I’m not going to watch the video. I might just get too emotional.

I have NO DOUBT that cat and dogs LOVE their humans in many cases. My mother, who I lost to cancer 25 years ago had a cat who may not have understood how sick she was, but he did know when she was feeling awful from her chemo. And he would comfort her for hours at a time.

When she didn’t come home from the hospital the last time, he pined and pined, and eventually ran away from home. I still cry when I think about that. I can only hope that the “Rainbow Bridge” story is true, and that they’re together with The Lord.

Oh me too! I almost wish I had not looked at the video. Poor kitty is trying so hard and it looked to me that the tail of the dead kitty was under a tire. Oh how SAD!

The surviving cat kept glancing over at the camera person as if to ask for help. I just can't stop the tears.

I noticed that too. I would have put down the camera and taken action immediately both to remove the dead kitty and to hug and distract helper kitty.
