anyone interested in crop-marks in this context might want to check out Prehistoric Britain from the Air (there are 2 such books, you want the black and white one with crop mark pictures, not the one with color pictures of prominent landmarks), great stuff from roman and earlier time.

There is a movie about Percy "in development," possibly starring Brad Pitt. Supposedly, Percy was a model for Indiana Jones.
