It was rainbowing for at least an hour on January 8th 2010. It was incredible. The camera could not capture the vivid intensity and brightness.
OMG, it means that the world is about to be destroyed!!! Quick, pack everything you can into the car and go out into the woods until it's safe to return!

No I did watch it. It is perfectly consistent with my explanation. The rain patch in the foreground hides the left and upper part of the rainbow from the further rain patch for the most part. The sun is low in the sky and behind the camera.
