COOKE CITY, Mont. (AP) -- A mother grizzly and two of her three cubs have been captured after killing a Michigan man and injuring two other people during an overnight rampage through a campground near Yellowstone National Park.
The sow, estimated to weigh 300 to 400 pounds, was lured into a trap fashioned from culvert pipe covered by the dead victim's tent Wednesday evening.

Yet in the case of the Wednesday's attack, all the victims had put their food into metal food canisters installed at campsite, Sheppard said.
"They were doing things right," he said. "It was random. I have no idea why this bear picked these three tents out of all the tents there."
Amish again?

The second grizzly vs. man event near Yellowstone in less than a month. A grizz killed a guy in Wyoming in June too.
Possible, but there's no reason to jump to that conclusion.
Predators return to a kill site, even when moved to a trap the scent would be a major attractant. It is awful to think about.
That’s good to hear...sort of.
I’m glad I was wrong
I would go for the Marlin .450. Bear jerky anyone?
A woman from London, Ontario, Canada was one of the victims of the attack.
She described that the bear bit down on her arm, she screamed and the bear bit harder.
She screamed again, the bear began shaking her and she could hear her bones breaking.
At that point she had the presence of mind to play dead and the bear lost interest.
Ahh..I see the article does a good job of describing her experience...better than what I heard on the radio!
Release the bear in Central Park to eat some New York liberals. These left wing eco-fascist bastards have been telling countryfolk how to live their lives for 50 years. Screw that.
Train the bear how to handle a .50 caliber machinegun and let it loose in New York City. If a bear could learn how to fly a B-2 bomber and drop bombs, that would be a start.
