Department of Homeland Security is planning to take several steps to assist local law enforcement agencies in identifying terrorists and uncovering terrorist plots. For example, DHS is working with the Justice Department, the Major City Chiefs Association, and other federal agencies and local law enforcement organizations to develop a curriculum that will train police officers to identify signs of extremism. The courses will be offered online as well as at DHS' Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and regional police training centers. Meanwhile, DHS is also planning to develop case studies of terrorist plots that will help law enforcement officers learn about the behaviors terrorist suspects typically exhibit before attempting to carry out a plot. In addition, DHS is planning to release "intelligence products" that describe the tactics, techniques, and plans used by terrorist suspects. Finally, DHS will hold regional summits with state and local law enforcement agencies to train them on how to use community-oriented policing methods and to discuss best practices in preventing terrorist attacks.

A doller says the training focuses on “domestic” terrorists, Tea Party Grandma’s, citizens exercising their 2nd A rights, etc.

The “justice” department is currently refusing to enforce the law. That crowd is going to help identify terrorists.
Something tells me that the main way to identify a terrorist is to see if he is a White Christian.
Or any patriotic symbols, such as the American flag and Gadsden decals on the back of my truck.
Typical Extremist
The first thing I would train them in is the ACTUAL LAW. You would be surprised and little frightened to know how little of the law and Constitutional rights is taught to police officers. And yet, they are expected to enforce it.
This course will be all about Christians and Right Wing types and Constitutionalists. They don’t care at all about Moslems and may throw in a comment about environmentalists to keep it “balanced.”
