A Glimps into S 510, the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2010
Youtube ^ | 5 August 2010 | RT

Senate Bill S510 Makes it illegal to Grow, Share, Trade or Sell Homegrown Food S 510, the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2010, may be the most dangerous bill in the history of the US.

It is similar to what India faced with imposition of the salt tax during British rule, only S 510 extends control over all food in the US, violating the fundamental human right to food. S 510 would give Monsanto unlimited power over all US seed, food supplements, food and farming.

S 510 fails on moral, social, economic, political, constitutional, and human survival grounds.

1. It puts all US food and all US farms under Homeland Security and the Department of Defense, in the event of contamination or an ill-defined emergency. It resembles the Kissinger Plan.
2. It would end US sovereignty over its own food supply by insisting on compliance with the WTO, thus threatening national security.
3. It imposes Codex Alimentarius on the US, a global system of control over food. It allows the United Nations (UN), World Health Organization (WHO), UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the WTO to take control of every food on earth and remove access to natural food supplements.
4. It would remove the right to clean, store and thus own seed in the US, putting control of seeds in the hands of Monsanto and other multinationals, threatening US security.
5. It deconstructs what is left of the American economy. It takes agriculture and food, which are the cornerstone of all economies, out of the hands of the citizenry, and puts them under the total control of multinational corporations influencing the UN, WHO, FAO and WTO, with HHS, and CDC, acting as agents, with Homeland Security as the enforcer.

Dick Durbin’s totalitarian masterpiece. Read the bill text and weep:

This is the compliment bill to the one that passed the House last summer.

HR2749 http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-2749

I call it the FDA food take-over bill. This is a stealth bill that has consequences that are unimaginable.

As far as I can determine it has not been voted on in the Senate.

"S 510 fails on moral, social, economic, political, constitutional, and human survival grounds. "

IOW, it's another signature Obama Administration power grab.

Sorry, try this one:
http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/thomas

If it doesn’t work, which it just did, go to LOC Thomas and type in bill number. It pulls it right up with text, history, status, etc. Here is the CRS summary:

I feel it is always a better idea to read the actual bill language before passing judgment. That said, I can guarantee you that if Dick Durbin is the sponsor, this will be worse than it appears at first glance.

It looks like the corrupt marxist congress and the punk-ass president may get this bill passed. They don’t have the brass to enforce it. They seem to have no idea just how pissed people will get when the feds mess with their food supply.

I contacted my senators and Mr. Vitter to express my opposition to this horrible bill. It is a bald face power grab and must be stopped.

This is just ludicrous and I cannot imagine how anyone believes the UN or WHO or Homeland Scrutiny will enforce any of this. I realize this may be too centrist of a view for some, but I really don’t think we are in danger of either seeing this pass the US Senate, nor are we about to see tanks and troops in the streets seizing all available food.

The sky is not falling...

Somehow they have fixed it so you cannot simply use a link to the legislation directly. They do not want it looked at.

There was a temp file that was referenced.

Much of the House version seems to have been “struck out”.

Words written almost 2,000 years ago:

Revelations: 16 - He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17 - so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

Amazingly coming to pass in our lifetime...

No one ever imagined Congress would pass a scam that would deprive people of their personal freedoms by forcing them to purchase a product in violation of the Constitution but it did happen. Nothing is beyond this socialist/marxist controlled Congress.
