In psychology’s latest assault on American conservatives, evolutionary psychologist Satoshi Kanazawa has determined that “very liberal” people possess nearly a 12 point IQ advantage over those who identify as “very conservative.” Not only is the hard left more intelligent than the hard right, but they are smarter than everyone else, as well – mainstream conservative, middle-of-the-road, and even mainstream liberal.
In a blog posting at the Psychology Today website, Kanazawa baldly asserted that,
“...apart from a few areas in life (such as business) where countervailing circumstances may prevail, liberals control all institutions. They control the institutions because liberals are on average more intelligent than conservatives and thus they are more likely to attain the highest status in any area of (evolutionarily novel) modern life” (emphasis in original).

Let's begin with the Psychological Association itself, which may be the biggest scam ever pulled on the American people and let's begin with Freud, who was using cocaine when he fantasized his crazy theories. I remember when psychiatrist's could hardly make a living..Then, WA-LA, health care insurance began to pay for that kind of treatment. From that point on, the whole movement took off and has been, probably the single greatest influence for harm to this society of any source. Infinity cannot compute the resources poured down that black hole. Anyone who has ever worked with “the worried well” will tell you that some of the situational reactions people suffer are normal for the circumstances and will heal in time. There may be great benefit in working through a grief reaction to life the natural way. In cases of the more serious mental afflictions, medication has been the major help and those were developed by very smart scientists in research labs, and, from their work ethic, I would guess most of them to be conservative. I would like to see a study which assesses the mental stability of all the psychological “experts” as a whole. I am betting you would find the biggest collection of nuts any society could possibly produce. Toss Mr. Kanazawa’s study into the trash because it reeks with politics and propaganda, and, be very wary, as I am sure you are, of anything coming out of the "Psychological Association."
Joining Mensa is the real disqualifier :).
I think the guy is right. Sorry, but in my experience, it’s true. Make a list of the great minds of our time, the true intellectuals, and you’ll be forced to agree.

Of course, being intelligent doesn’t make a person right. It simply means they are better at reasoning.
I am an engineer. Going through the training that an engineer must gives you the ability to think clearly and reason.
I have found that most liberals, when you sound them out on their positions, employ faulty reasoning almost always.
Of course, when you find a liberal engineer (I work with a couple) you have to question how someone with that training could believe the way they do. The cognitive dissonance must be something terrible.
American liberals (”conservatives”) of the Rush Limbaugh/Sarah Palin/NASCAR variety tend to be suspicious of reasoning, and of educated people. It’s a cultural thing. This is not a criticism; it’s an observation.
Disagree here also. They disagree with pointy headed stupidity gussied up as "reasoning" (to use your words) that doesn't square with their innate common sense. There's nothing "stupid" about that.
Maybe they are smart. Those "private resouces" the want to give to others do not belong to them. But then "smart" isn't the correct word is it? A criminal self-serving mentality better describes their mindset.
If liberals are so intelligent, why aren’t they earning as much as athletes who can scarcely vocalize? All those smart libs should have rigged the system to ensure that they are paid as much as A-Rod or Kobe, but instead, they are in mediocre university or government jobs. They never get the beautiful women.
They compensate for their lack of good looks or physical ability or the ability to succeed in business by convincing each other how much more intelligent they are than the rest of the population. Sometimes they fool enough people to get elected to government offices where they can wield power and screw up the country, big time. That’s where we are today.

Oh yeah, this little thing called “business.” That unimportant side note that most of spend about third of our lives doing. We can discard that consideration entirely.

That argument supposes that all subjects have attended liberal universities for the requisite brain-washing and IQ measurement.
The real world is populated with high IQ problem solvers, leaders and innovaters who never set foot in the factories that foster fools who are trained to *feel* superior, but ain’t;).
