What is the healthiest food?

Posted on 08/29/2010 7:00:05 AM PDT by big black dog

If you factor in taste, I'd have to say it's cantaloupe.

Full of vitamins, minerals, and fiber, and low in calories.

Just had a big hunk of it for breakfast.

Nachos. Preferably with beer, the second healthiest food.

Technically speaking, there is no perfect food. No single food has all the nutrients needed for optimum health.

I really do love a good Pecos Cantaloupe, but not much protein and fat in there, so if that’s all I ate my blood sugar would hate me.

Actually it's been said that Irish Coffee is the the most nutritionally complete as it has all four food groups:

The Pecos cantaloupes are the best. They are delicious cubed and mixed with blackberries and some low fat cottage cheese for protein. A few pecans sprinkled on top make it even better.
