Dear FRiends,
Please send prayers up for my nephew and my family. His wife and beautiful 13 year old daughter were killed in the San Bruno fire yesterday. Mercifully he and his 15 year old daughter had left with my sister only a few minutes before the explosion but materially he has lost everything and I can only imagine the horror he is suffering at losing his beloved wife and daughter.
My family in the Bay Area is large and they will be doing everything humanly possible to care for them in these trying times but prayers are always welcome. I have turned to you all several times in the past and I consider all FReepers an extended family so please offer up some words of comfort and prayers for their souls.

Oh my goodness. I saw video today of what was left of some of those homes. What a horrible sight.
I am so sorry for your great loss.
When I lost several relatives over the last 3 years, I found this scripture to be useful:
2 Corinthians 5:8 “Sorrow not, even as them who have no hope, for we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord.”

My prayers to you and your family. This tragedy has touched so many in that San Bruno neighborhood. But for your nephew to lose his wife and daughter must be unbearable, as well as your sister losing a grandchild.

Oh dearest Crapgame. I am so sorry and saddened to have confirmation of our worst fears. Your posting on last night’s thread hit us hard and I prayed and I know that everyone else prayed too. I have to believe that God took them immediately into his arms when this tragedy sent them to Him. I will faithfully pray for your nephew and his daughter and for your entire family.
