I wondered why the Fox programs were smaller than the screen, but figured it was some hi-def thing. I certainly didn’t get so upset about it.

Fox is the only channel I can get and my game is not on it. NBC does not come in anymore and dish isn't worth the money.

FOX is doing what they should have done years ago; they’re framing the picture for 16:9 HDTVs, because those are now the majority of TVs in the US.
They started this in the preseason. There was plenty of ample warning time. Don’t like it? Get a new TV or don’t watch the game.

They should bring back TV with tubes.

Great full wide screen hi-def on my Sony 60” HDTV.

Watching the game last week was a pain. My reception had people's head sliced off vertically if they were standing to the side. And, the scoreboard looked screwy.
Too bad, because FOX has always done the best coverage.

It’s called letterboxing, and you’re actually seeing more of the game.

I’m watching my Detroit Lions so the TV or the feed does not matter.

My cable provider has an “SD” transmission and an HD transmission of the networks so I can watch whichever channel works for my TV.

All your TV are belong us.
The market has moved on without you. Get the Model A out, drive to a Rexall Drug store and buy yourself a book that will show you what a letterbox view is.

The FOX NFL broadcast looks really good on my Sony KDL-40EX500 40" LCD HDTV.

SeeBS is just as bad. The number of commercials is overwhelming. If I knew for played on the NFL Channel, I’d wait for that version with most of the interruptions to be filtered out.

I wouldn’t know because the NFL decided to black out the season opener for my team, the Bucs. Of course they’re playing the Browns and will be lucky to get 5 wins combined this year.

The only thing I find crappy about Fox right now (besides Shep and the other liberals on the FNC) is that they’re showing the Steelers game. I don’t care about the Steelers - I want to see the Browns!
