I keep a good stockpile of bandages and other medical supplies my friend.

Have a feeling the guy who encroaches upon me is gonna have need of those things more than me though...8^)

Man - hope you weren’t hurt in that boating accident. A truck ran over all my guns and ammo. The truck then caught fire, slid off a dock and went in the water. All down to Davy Jones locker.

I probably just need one of those air soft guns. I actually have a “Gun Free Zone” sign in the front yard. ;-)

I was thinking about a new sign that says - “We Do Not Have Guns - We Give Hugs.”

There was a great thread here about high velocity small caliber, high cap rifles and pistols. Some really need new stuff with .22 mag or LR. I wish I could find it.

"I assume the cheap rounds that were a problem were Remington?

You got it! green box and had been sitting in my closet for a couple of years.

Truthfully we only had about 4 or 5 rounds that "folded" on us. I really haven't had any problems with those rounds before but my .22 is an old Marlin that feeds into the tube below the barrel.

When we loaded them into the magazine on the M&P I suspect that they weakened a little in the process which caused the "folding" and separation of the bullet from the casing.

Nope, I waited for the near-fatal injury until last December when I fell off a mountain during a blizzard. It may have cost a little more, but it was worth it. I'm lighter by a kidney and a spleen. And who has a relationship with their spleen anyway?

Forget the taurus. get an older smith model 17 or k-22. Preferably one with a tapered pencil barrel 6” long and a 6shot cylinder.

LOL! (not really funny) Good thing you were not carrying any guns. Those things can be dangerous. You might have lost them again too.

Enough at least a box of 9 mm and some .223. I can always be like Elvis and shoot out the TV I will never use again.

One poster said he believed that things would get worse before they got better - We Boy Scouts are READY either way ! BE PREPARED , especially you urban folks.

Good choices but they're expensive.

Laugh all you like. I do. Now, anyway.

I did lose my weapons, I lost all the new ones. And the ammo. It was a tragedy. Everything except the red-headed nurse in the hospital. And I've lost that now. (Actually, I changed my phone number to get away, but let's not pick).

Yep, we’re on the same page alright. Thing is, I’d live this way even if the country wern’t in crisis.

No better way to live your life than always being prepared.

Well, you've got Cabela's, Sportsman's Warehouse, Sportsman's Guide, Midway, Cheaper than Dirt, and one that I haven't seen mentioned here, Natchez Shooters Supplies.

They sell ammo and reloading stuff, and their prices are very competitive.

really? interesting. I wonder what my old model 17 is worth then. Lotsa good memories in that little 22. It’s had thousands of rounds through it. whenever a get together with friends and relatives it would be the last gun put away out of the whole group. the shooting outing always ended up with my 22 smith being passed from hand to hand each taking turns shooting it.

literally thousands of rounds. A thousand rounds in one day has been done by that 22 smith. The bluing on the barrel has turned purple-ish. I assume from the heat.

pricey. I would never buy one at that price. Mine cost something like 225. Brand new.

Sportsman's Guide has a sale on Wolf. .223 box of 20 $12.77.

WTF?!? One more reason never to buy there. Local Wal-Mart started stocking TulaAmmo in .223. $5 for 20.
