"Restore sanity and/or fear." That's the tongue-in-cheek slogan for a rally held on Saturday at the US Capitol, organized by liberal television comedians Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Known for their satirical shows on the Comedy Central Channel, they attracted thousands of their moderate fans for a few hours of comedy and music--three days before mid-term elections

I’m wondering if the rally was successful. Did any of the attendees have their sanity restored?
Where are the clowns?
Send in the clowns.
Ummmmmmmmm. Don't they get really upset whenever we call Obama a Marxist, a Socialist or a Fascist? And haven't they been putting little moustaches on us for years?
She could have said “With Half & Half” LOL!!!
I'm wondering if any of the coverage mentioned his particular form of expression as a member of the "religion of peace".
Those my age (45) or so know what I mean, but for the benefit of younger FReepers...
On February 21, 1989, Yusuf Islam addressed students at Kingston University in London about his conversion to Islam and was asked about the controversy in the Muslim world and the fatwa calling for Salman Rushdie's execution. He replied, "He must be killed. The Qur'an makes it clear - if someone defames the prophet, then he must die."--wikipedia

This photo was a top cited image on Saturday as the rallies were happening.
This is NOT an "ironic" response to the "Obama/Fascism" protest signs.
They really think that it is "ok" to call Republicans nazis.
This is from the 1990s:
This is from the 2000s and is by Obama's own Hopey-Changey poster artiste.
Obama knew Shepard Fairey's level of argument. He only pretends to be above such attacks.
Send in a lot of free entertainment and you are bound to get a crowd. Those with Pro Obama signs get the front seats so they’ll be easier to photo for the MSM. This was a concert not a rally.
the Hitler one shows some artistic flair.
Losers, every.... last.... one of them.
Wow- Kareem is TALL!!
Too many clowns.....not enough circuses.
“the Hitler one shows some artistic flair.”
Putting a Hitler mustache on Cantor (Jewish) was fairly typical of the discourse, it looks like.
You forgot the ‘murder anyone who insults the Prophet’ singer. He’s got bucks.
Also, great thing Demmunists were at a rally this weekend instead of doing something, say, useful. Maybe working for a campaign instead of supporting a couple of TV shows? Nah. Too much effort.
There was a LOT more diversity on stage than in the crowd...
