New Delhi: Michelle Obama is the boss at home - so what if husband and US President Barack Obama is the most powerful man in the world.
"When you and the president have a fight, who makes up," a student asked the US First Lady at the National Handicrafts and Handloom Museum in New Delhi.
"I always wait for the President to say sorry because I am a woman," Michelle Obama responded with a smile.
Narrating the exchange, museum chairperson Ruchira Ghosh added that Michelle Obama came across a figurine at the 'bhoota' (ritual art from Karnataka) gallery and said it reminded her of her husband.

"A blue figure at the top of the citadel with ears sticking out from behind its head reminded the first lady of President Barack Obama," Ghosh said.
"The figure looks like Barack," the US First Lady was quoted as saying with a laugh.
The first lady interacted with a group of 14 underprivileged girls and students at the museum as part of a social initiative exchange.
Sorry. You saw the reaction from your Dachshund, can you imagine how Obozo reacts that that sound by now?
The absolutely amazing thing about this is how politically tone-deaf she is. While I’m sure she was just joking and engaging in light banter, she has to realize that making statements like this on a trip to Asia, which is being focused on by Muslims across the world, will make the president look weak. Most of the world—including India and many Asian countries—take statements like this seriously and she doesn’t even realize it. That’s why, despite how much the Left ridiculed Laura Bush for not saying anything, that really is the best policy for a political wife.
What a repulsive woman.
You are spot on. Great post.
I think leaders around the world have already taken their measure of Obama and view him as weak.
Michelle helps to reinforce this notion.
there fixed it.....
AMEN
Ugly really is to the bone
BTW, Grandma raised one heck of a snotty angry entitled- feeling beyotch
Being (an angry black) first lady means never having to say you’re sorry
It is true that in my house my husband says sorry first because I’m always right! (Just kidding honey— he’s probably going to read this as he is out of town on business and reads free republic!)
moochelle is a dunce. She has no clue as to what she has said in jest. Is she not aware women's position in those countries?
I woul go all the way & say political spouses (remember Dennis Thatcher?). My mother is a pretty staunch Democrat, w/ some detours, but she has always been a fan of
Laura Bush...........she always handled herself w/ grace and dignity and she realized that it was not about her.I was proud of her for being my first lady, even though I did not vote for her husband.
Michelle Obama could learn some rules from her........
Was this woman raised by wolves?
MO could learn a lot of things from Laura Bush but she’ll never be able to match her in grace and class (even if she had daily lessons).
Is it a faux pas for a "lady" to have her hand shook? Where as a woman of loose morals would be willing to shake?
I'm not sure what the culture issue is, would you please clarify?
Thanks!

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
