Even better than his Pink Panther movies was “S.O.B.”. Hysterical comment on Hollywood and the film business. BTW, the blond hitchhiker is his daughter.

R.I.P.

I really enjoy those early 60’s pre-hippie movies where everyone is dressed in a suit and tie saying “hip”, “cool” and “come on baby”.

Probably his best directed film was Experiment in Terror A great Film Noir.. Glenn Ford , Lee Remick, Stephanie Powers, and Ross Martin who was the only character in the closing credits. A top notch thriller. And a great story. Blake - Pass the popcorn, God's providing the tickets.

I think the 1960’s were a really great decade up through about 1966. Then things got weird and “earthy” and Marxist. I like a lot of the music from the late ‘60s, but the overall culture and approach to the world took a real nosedive.

The headline is amusing. I had no clue that he had directed “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” although I knew he had a long career and was married to Julie Andrews.
