What gives with the delay in the printing and distributing the 1040 Instruction Books, which includes the new Tax Tables? I heard they would be delayed - and the "lucky public" would have an extra few days in April, be I have heard nothing of the reason why.
Who cares I am not doing it anyways...come and get me you dirty rats!
1. SNAFU
2. BOHICA
3. Sign blank check.
Line 1: How much did you make last year?
Line 2: Send it in.
I have to pay this year so any delay helps me build up cash to send in .... so YAY ..kinda
All of your money are belong to us.
I called the IRS at 1-800-TAX-FORMS. I asked for my 1040 tax booklet with the coded mailing label. They told me that they are not sending them out anymore. I requested my forms and a Publication 17. You have to call and request the forms that you need or go to the IRS website. No more coded labels with name and address.
Geithner is still proofreading them.
The gubmint owes me money but I will file after february as per the recent WSJ article because this idiot gubmint who wants to run healthcare for us did not factor in the Bush cuts.
I guess I am just an idiot for not understanding something here: The extension passed by CONgress in December, 2010 affected the 2011 tax year. We are filing returns for the 2010 tax year which was, otherwise unaffected by the extension passed in December. Why would the IRS have to re-program schedule A tables based on the December extension when they, technically, weren't affected (2010 tax rates, that is)? Am I the only one puzzled by this?

“Since Congress restored the opportunity for taxpayers to choose between deducting state income taxes or state sales tax, the IRS had to revise the Schedule A the form you use to itemize your deductions. It will not be ready for use until February 14. At the same time, some of those who do not itemize their deductions are affected, too. Those who can claim the $250 deduction available to teachers and teachers aides who spend money for classroom supplies or the deduction for up to $4,000 of qualified college cost can now make these claims as they were reinstated by the President when he signed the legislation last December 17.
If you make a mistake you pay. If the IRS makes a mistake, too xxxxxxx bad.
