The Huge Clue Everyone Is Missing re: Sign of the Radical Islamic Focus of Egyptian Overthrow
Video from FNC, CNN, others

Posted on 02/11/2011 11:01:17 AM PST by MindBender26

The overthrow of the Egyptian government is being led by the hard-corps Islamics, and there is video to prove it.

We are repeating history.

In 1962, a group of senior enlisted USAF photo interpreters was secretly slipped into the back door at the White House. They were there to brief President Kennedy. There had been unconfirmed rumors of a significant Russian military presence in Cuba, but the CIA agents on the ground were supplying conflicting information, and no proof of anything. In addition, no one had reported the missile crates being unloaded from Russian ships in Cuban harbors. The crates were labeled “Tractor Parts’ and the U.S believed them.

The old sergeants claimed they had proof. They laid aerial photographs of newly constructed athletic fields outside expanding Cuban military bases. Kennedy’s aides scoffed, claiming loudly that a few photographs of athletic fields proved nothing.

Kennedy himself asked, “What does a picture of a few new soccer fields prove?”

The wise old E-7, veteran of discovering hidden details from seemingly innocuous pictures quietly said; “Mr. President, Cubans play baseball. These are soccer fields. It’s the Russians who play soccer.”

Kennedy immediately put into motion the additional recon and operations that led up to the Cuban Missile Crisis.

An old CIA friend/source just called with a unique perspective. Everyone looking at the live TV pictures coming out of Tahrir Square is seeing, but missing one critically important detail.

Up until now, life in Cairo has been very secular. Businessmen wore expensive Western suits. Most upscale women were very stylish, dressed in the latest Paris fashions, their hair and makeup professionally done before every evening out, etc. Headscarves were very rare.

Tonight, the women in Tahrir Square are again paying tribute to the classic male-dominated Islamic culture. I watched for 15 minutes, and every woman had on a headscarf. Some were modern, silk, and stylish. Other were more basic, covering all but the eyes nose and mouth.

Regardless of the style, they are all sending a strong message. It may seem like a small clue, but Egyptians know that the hard-corps Islamics are, or will soon be, in charge of the new Egyptian government, and the women already know that to defy them can be disastrous.

It will get worse, much worse, very quickly.

Thank you Barack Obama.

Interesting observations.

The head wear wasn’t completely absent in Egypt, but I agree that it has certainly become more common of late. That it is a response to the influence and potential power of the Islamic Revolution is without question.

So many of the people say they want a secular government, but they mean “Not Iran,” as opposed to “not Islamic.”

I noticed the same thing last night too, what happened to all of the babes in Chanel with designer sunglasses? Secular much?

I watched the news at lunch w/Mrs. Henkster, who is not normally so keen on politics and world affairs. When they showed the video from Cairo, I asked her “Where have we seen this before?” Without hesitation she said “Iran.”

Know what you mean. Typical upscale woman on the street in Istanbul or Cairo, even Tehran from time to time, can put Paris to shame.

I have yet to hear anyone in the MSM talk about Obama’s outreach to the Muslim world, or the fact that his major speech to the Muslim world took place in Egypt.

Does anyone else get the impression that the Obama administration has no clue how to respond or what to say about this situation? And will the MSM talk about Islamic influence in this revolution, and what that says about Obama and his Muslim outreach and all that?

There is a picture I saw on a FR thread showing the Egyptian youth through the years. Low and behold in the year 2011 the youth were all wearing burqa’s. Just 10 years ago they were “western” ized.

How can I find that pic??? Does anyone have it?

ABC News White House correspondent Jake Tapper wrote on Twitter about 40 minutes ago that the Obama administration is basically clueless as to the ramifications to the United States of the overthrow of the Egyptian government of Hosni Mubarak.

“Also worth keeping in mind: cant find anyone in O admin who thinks whatever comes next will be better for U.S. interests than Mubarak was”

This comes after Obama campaigned for Mubarak’s overthrow.

I have lived and worked in Egypt for more than three decades, and thus the video of the protestors was chilling. My analysis was that about one in four in Tahrir was an Ikhwan. From information I have received from Alexandria the number of students and pro-Ikhwan protestors was absolutely chilling. Fortunately, the military has not ceded power, Baradai has showed his known cowardly streak, and not much has changed in Egypt.

As you can see, despite the size of the picture, the female graduates in 1959 and 1978 had bare arms, wore short sleeved blouses,  dresses, or pants, and were both bare-faced and bare-headed. By  1995, we see a smattering of headscarves—and by 2004 we see a plurality of female university graduates in serious hijab: Tight, and draping the shoulders.

Class of 1959

Class of 1978

Class of 1995

Class of 2004

But nobody forced them to (so far), right? It is a ‘cultural trend’.

Just like here, after 40 - 50 years of liberal / progressive movement, people (even the young people) turned more conservative.

WELL, this is what we have a CIA and billions of taxpayer dollars and a pro-western Egyptian Military for. Hopefully they will make sure the Islamists are isolated - and exterminated.

The US has missed the sufferings of the people in these Arab countries exchanging them for the sake of foreign policy advantages for us. There is a circle of elite in government high office who trade back and forth with dictators for naturally their own regional benefit but ignore the torture, poverty and intimidation of the people.

Bush deserves credit for pushing for a freedom-democracy agenda, in these countries, which was shot down. Obama, the Wizard, should have known technology was behind this people’s revolt in Egypt.

Sorry, but you are into Political, Western-focused Anthropomorphism.

70% of the world’s people have no idea of what “freedom” is, no idea how to get it, and usually no desire to do so.

In addition, they have no idea how to manage it. Look at all the places the former colonial powers left, and left a representative government in power, but the former country quickly reverted to dictatorships.
