This is an absolutely unacceptable amount of bloodshed:
SAN DIEGO -- A taxi cab driver plowed slowly into a crowd on a sidewalk in San Diego's busy Gaslamp District early Saturday, injuring more than two dozen people, police said.
We cannot have automobiles doing this sort of damage. 25 people were injured, 17 of them requiring hospitalization, and one woman had her leg severed.
These are astounding and utterly unacceptable injures. These evil things called "taxi cabs" are responsible for the horrifying damage done in San Diego. That's a type of automobile, and of course we can't trust any of them - they're all the spawn of Satan.
For the good of America we must rid ourselves of this cancerous monstrosity and return immediately to the use of horses and asses for the transport of people. These hunks of metal and plastic are just too dangerous to have in civilian hands. Over 40,000 people die a year in and around them; by far one of the most-dangerous instrumentalities ever invented by mankind.
It's time to impose the common-sense restriction of banning all automobiles from private ownership. Not only is this is a common-sense reaction to this carnage, there's nothing in the Constitution that gives you an individual right to own one!
How many were injured in the accident vs the drunken melee that followed?
A lot of us heard about this earlier - still no mention of the name of the taxi cab driver ... makes you wonder; makes your mind wander ....
The real question here is illegal or legal?
We could have pediatricians ask kids if there’s a car in the garage (like they ask know if there is a gun in the house).
They could report that information to authorities (or put it into a database that our government can access in upcoming single-payer healthcare system)...so that our children can be better protected.
We could even have pediatricians ask the kids if there’s a Saxon Math book in the house...as that represents a MAJOR THREAT to their social development, but getting them years ahead of their peers in math.
(sorry - I just have a problem with doctors asking about guns)
We need to ban kitchen knives too! Some dud in NYC killed 3 and wounded 2 more....plus he killed another with a car that he stole. Much like guns, you just never know when your car or your utensils are going to go off on a killing spree.
Did you see the comment by “Pengwn” taking it seriously and agreeing?
At the very least the fuel tanks should be limited to a reasonable size, like two gallon or something.
Correct. And this was a high quality Henckels 8 inch chef’s knife. I believe Mayor for Life Bloomberg is investigating the availibility of such deadly weapons and is considering a lawsuit against Henckels.
Yep. This was obviously a high-capacity taxi cab.
Not before you said that lol No. 17
I meant he had 17 posts lol too funny complains about the bus though.
“
I have a bus pass. I can go only where public transit goes. Which ain’t much of ****.”
OMG!!!...My hair trimming scissors did not come with a permanently affixed warning label or even an online safety tutorial. I’d rather pay a trained professional than risk serious injury to myself or others with these weaponized blades of butchery. Plus, they look so threatening with their shiny pointed dagger-like shapes....they’re scaring meeeeee!
Why would anyone need that many cars......
At the very least, we need to ban high capacity magazines for these deadly weapons. Why would anybody need more than a 10 gallon tank for sporting purposes? High capacity fuel tanks are only required for the Military and Police.
I hope to high heaven that you are just kidding but with that horse's patootie one just can't be too sure.
i say we ban clubs and those people that go to clubs after 10pm
(i really, really hate progressives and their fascist ways)
Bet this weapon was an “automatic” too. No different than a machine gun. ;-)
An 8 inch knife!
Nobody could possibly have any legitimate use for a knife that long.
Four inches is enough for any reasonable owner.
