Weve all done it, or at least know someone who has. Animal lovers who kiss their pets mouth to mouth. Kisses from mans best friend or a feline companion may seem loving and irresistible, but is it safe?

A better question would have been
“Is it safe to kiss (any stranger)?”
Yet we all know some one who did it on blind date / first dates, etc. You’ve never known what kind of yak they’ve been through either.
But this article sounded like people are safer than pets.

It doesn’t matter if it is safe or not. When a 180+ English Mastiff puppy decides to lean over the bed and wake you up by licking your face, you’re getting a kiss whether you want one or not.

The major cause of oral cancer has been viruses that originate in the perianal and perivaginal areas. A pet is less dangerous IMHO.

I kiss my cats all the time, but not on the mouth. I hate it when dogs try to lick me on the face. That is gross.
