Faster and easier to use than prior version. Only down side I’ve seen is that it doesn’t integrate well with Roboform. Will probably have to upgrade the latter to make it work with the former.

You can make it look more like 3.x by moving the tabs to the bottom of the header. Took me a bit to figure out how, but you can almost make it look like 3.x.

It does seem way faster.

I installed it and it works great except for Free Republic. The "back button" does not highlight or function on FR. After reading and article, I have to close the tab and re-open a fresh forum page to begin again. A real pain...

I've rebooted and tried everything but it ONLY misbehaves on FR. Figures....

I’ll have to give it a try. I stopped using FF3 because it was so slow. It just seemed bloated. Feature creep maybe.

Is Firefox 4 one half as good as Exploder 8?

Downside...

It allowed me to download and install it and only after I’d trashed the old version and tried to run it did it inform me that it wouldn’t work on my operating system.

Do not like the way they have moved the “refresh” button as well as the “home page” button all the way over to the right. They were very conveniently placed to the right “forward”/”back” buttons under FF3.

The way they are placed now , you have to search for them. Why would they have moved such heavily used buttons from such a convenient place?

What are the must have ADD-ON or Extensions you recommend?

You CAN move things where you want. I like that it gives a little more space for content by condensing the tool bars. It’s a bit quicker than FF3, too.

Is it just me or my settings? FR seems to be much brighter and crisper using FireFox.

I would like to ask you PC gurus which desktop computer you would recommend? I’m considering replacing my HP multimedia desktop that is 4-5 years old and is running XP. I want to switch to Windows 7 and I don’t think it’s worth buying Windows 7 and paying someone to install it on this 5-year old PC. I’m not PC savvy so I will have to pay a tech to take the data off this machine, install Windows 7, and re-install my data. It seems easier to buy a new tower.

It’s almost funny how it displays the bar announcing how it has blocked a popup, but you have to close the popup to see it.

Firefox 4 won’t run on X Tiger 10.4, Mozilla abandoned that platform. I wonder how much Apple paid them for that?

I see I am not the only one with the Roboform problem.

I am looking into Keepass. This is a free/open password manager, however it seems to lack the other form filling features of Roboform.

So much for Roboform's promised "lifetime upgrades" policy (no longer mentioned).

I’m running it on an older xp system, and it seems to have become a hog and freeze my whole system. It also doesn’t let me use the mouse to click on search results that pop up, I have to use the down arrow button :(

Only two complaints:

1. Moving the reload button from the left to the right of the URL window was pointless and bad ergonomically for current Firefox users.

2. They made it incompatible with the multiline bookmark toolbar plugin. (This I hope will be fixed by the plugin maker soon.)
