Just cancelled my subscription with Rush

I was looking for the "vanity" thing but could not find it. I hope I did not do anything wrong for Fr to post in this section.

The first 3 words of Rush show today were for Sarah "Fight like a girl" - so I was very excited to hear what Rush had to say about that beautiful teaparty and Sarah speech in Madison Wisconsin. I think that was so important for the symbolism of it - unions and stuff - courageous of her to go there - and I also think that Sarah was great and her speech surely deserved a good 10 minutes from Rush.

Well..I waited and waited through a long hour of so annoying tax stuff, a good 15 minutes about Trump...sick of it really..and then an almost full hour about global warming..and then around 2.30 I emailed Rush show and said that I will revoke my subscription if I don't hear about Sarah's speech in Madison at least for 10 minutes before the end of the show. Well, I did not expect them to be scared..ah..

And then, nothing at all about Sarah in Madison.

So I cancelled. I am not sure where Rush is going but frankly I find him very boring lately. Excusing the pitiful Gop after they caved on budget. Bizarre. Is he becoming a RINO? Something's up with Rush.

Sorry guys.

Your thoughts?

My thoughts? People around here are CLUELESS as to how to use the Alinsky Rules for Radicals. Rush gets it. You TAKE THE VICTORY, no matter how small, then come back tomorrow for more, then more, then more.

You NEVER walk away and have a "moral victory" of a defeat (a shutdown).

Col. Allen West said he supported the budget. "It takes five miles to turn around an aircraft carrier," he said, and "this is just a start." Our side better stop getting do cotton-pickin' upset with its own and figure out that OBAMA is the enemy.

The conservative "girls" are the only ones doing any fighting at all these days, it seems.

I agree. Maybe that's what she means.

Yes, odd is one way of putting it. If I had been listening (I rarely get to hear Rush in more than bits and pieces), I would have been disappointed, too. It woudn't have been the first time -- a lot of times I've listened to his show, gone out of my way to reschedule my workday to do it, for the sole purpose of hearing his take on some issue that has intrigued me ... and hear nothing.

Levin is right about Trump, though. Trump the chump.

People, Palin isn't our messiah anymore than 0bama is.

All messiahs may be leaders, but not all leaders are messiahs. I'm aware of that fact -- you seem not quite to have absorbed it.

This is not that much different than sports talk radio, they don’t talk about YOUR team? CHANGE THE DAMNED STATION!

Well, he didn’t ignore it. I know he’s really up on Sarah and at the right time, I think he’ll endorse her.

He’s obsessed with taxes right now and explaining stuff we’ve heard a hundred times, but he gets new listeners all the time who may need to hear it.

Rush is the best. He will get it back. Trust me on this, folks.

If having Elton John sing at your third (fourth?) wedding wasn't enough of a clue for you...

Rush is in it for the money.

So sacrificing three marriages for the cause was not enough for some of you whiners? Why not his fourth too? How about Rush become a celibate monk and give up on anything that brings him peace or happiness after a lifetime of near isolation and the most vile hatred directed at him on your behalf few can imagine all the while with a big smile on his face. If it means he's not devoting his entire intellect to conservatism 24/7 for a a quarter century, he's not committed enough? He's given us 21 and counting very good years in my opinion. He's entitled to coast for a time, he's more than earned it.
It's 18 months to the next election. It's 9 months to the Iowa caucuses. Give it a rest, give him a break, and lighten up. He's got all week to talk about this speech Sarah made, and I do agree, it was pretty good and news worthy and I am not a fan of the attention Rush is giving to Trump. But let him talk about what he wants. It's his show.
If you want the all Palin all the time show, the great thing about the new information age, making your own podcast is pretty easy to do. Please, by all means, get to it. I'll be genuinely and eagerly waiting to download the American dream 246 show. I'm always looking for new conservative voices on iTunes. It's a long commute.
But as been said, it's your money, by all means use it however you like. Just don't expect a lot to back you up because you thought you could bully Rush Limbaugh into doing your bidding or risk the loss of your $60. Last I heard he's worth close to $1 Billion and receives at least 3000 emails every day from listeners, not counting spam. I am not sure you were heard, let alone be missed.

Yes. Sarah Palin is the center of the universe...magritte

Worshipping another human being...

Hmmm. Makes one wonder how different some Republicans are to the fawning slaves of the Obamanation.

No, the problem is that we have way too many people here on FR who haven't absorbed it. They seem to think that if we could just get Sar-ah elected, then the problems of the country will magically disappear and she will lead us into a New Golden Age of peace, prosperity, and puppies. Frankly, these people are just the conservative version of the losers we saw back in 2008 who would go on national TV and clap their hands and rejoice that "Bruvver Obama" was gonna pay for their gas and their rent.

Same attitude, different person.

He can talk about Palin’s speech and the rest throughout the week, but today was tax day itself, so a more topical and timely matter to take up his air time. I kind of thought she said it all, what was he to add?

Palin isn't running....She just loves the attention too much to be open about that (yet). Her (and her family) are obsessed with themselves and attention. Not a great trait in leadership (we have a man in office like that now, just with different politics). Hell, could you imagine what Freep’ers would have said about Obama’s doing a reality show in 2007!? Come on.

+1 - The Rush basing on here is pathetic - What he has done for the conservative movement is beyond words....The lack of genuine appreciation and understanding by part of our base never ceases to amaze me.

To listen to him taking Trump seriously is getting disturbing. He needs to listen to his buddy, Mark Levin, a little more.

I haven't had time to listen to Rush lately. If it's true that he is taking Trump seriously, that would be disturbing.

Levin is the best and his audio is always available.

Titus, nothing like a glass of ice water in the face! Thanks, I needed that.

We have a decade of hard work ahead to get us out of these holes, Spending, Big Gov, Immigration, Energy/Oil Policy, Education, Tax Policy. Foreign Policy.... Many a powerful constituency's ox must be gored and barbecued or we are simply over.

We face these challenges offering hard patriotic choices to the dumbest bunch of voters we have ever seen since the founding of the Republic. Maybe $10 gas and 20% unemployment will wake up over 50%.

Find out in 2012.

Good grief. Does the entire world have to revolve around Palin?

Good grief... shameless strawman fallacy.
