Just cancelled my subscription with Rush

I was looking for the "vanity" thing but could not find it. I hope I did not do anything wrong for Fr to post in this section.

The first 3 words of Rush show today were for Sarah "Fight like a girl" - so I was very excited to hear what Rush had to say about that beautiful teaparty and Sarah speech in Madison Wisconsin. I think that was so important for the symbolism of it - unions and stuff - courageous of her to go there - and I also think that Sarah was great and her speech surely deserved a good 10 minutes from Rush.

Well..I waited and waited through a long hour of so annoying tax stuff, a good 15 minutes about Trump...sick of it really..and then an almost full hour about global warming..and then around 2.30 I emailed Rush show and said that I will revoke my subscription if I don't hear about Sarah's speech in Madison at least for 10 minutes before the end of the show. Well, I did not expect them to be scared..ah..

And then, nothing at all about Sarah in Madison.

So I cancelled. I am not sure where Rush is going but frankly I find him very boring lately. Excusing the pitiful Gop after they caved on budget. Bizarre. Is he becoming a RINO? Something's up with Rush.

Sorry guys.

Your thoughts?

"Can’t disagree, he’s been terribly boring and uninformative lately."

I agree with you. For whatever the reason he does seem to be a day late and a dollar short on his show prep lately.

Does this count as an opus or a swan song?

Rush goes with flow of events and talks about whatever he wants to talk about. So don’t be surprised that he’s on and off depending on how events go.

Madison, Wisconsin has died down somewhat, and Palin hasn’t yet announced her candidacy officially. Also, the ball is in Boehner’s court and the House having the only credibility left on the Hill. Rush at the core is about bashing the Democrats and not cheerleading the Republicans when the Republicans have to actually do the actually sausage making of legislation.

I think Rush will be back someday soon to your satisfaction. But renewing your subscription is your prerogative.

Strength.

I don;t listen to Rush...

because I already graduated from the Rush Limbaugh University. I know am a right-wing conservative who hates liberals.

I was a liberal in high school until the day I heard Rush on the radio. No need for Masters degree in Rush.

Dude, the mainstream GOP or neo-conservatives like the Weekly Standard, Rush, National Review, etc. all have dumped Palin.

They hate her. That is why Trump is polling well and getting on TV.

If you're disappointed with what Rush says, you need to listen to Mark Levin!

He's a cut above all the back-benchers!

I’ve got the impression that Rush is in this big time for Sarah. Maybe I’m wrong. I just get the impression that Sarah is his choice for 2012.

I thought too - actually I still think that so I was very surprised - seemed to me that he is talking about Trump a bit too much (I like the birther thing from Trump but the guy is a liberal) and again, what happened Saturday in Madison was important - even Beck was all over it with what the Unions did there during the speech and the National Anthem and all..

Many years ago, Rush used to brag that he would never read articles to his audience. Seems like that is all he is doing lately. By the time his show airs, I’ve already read the things he is highlighting. Of course I like his take, but he wastes valuable time by regurgitating the pieces.

I posted a few days ago here that sheer laziness or complacency has allowed Rush to cede the birth certificate issue to Trump. Rush has lost his edge, and that, my friends, is just plain sad.

I have the conceit that I have a pretty good vocabulary...but I had to look that one up. I'm impressed...:)

LOL same here. uxorious! Now I have to find an appropriate venue for suitable utilization of my newly-acquired bit of knowledge. ;-)

From Latin. The word for wife. Lawyers will recognize it. In the last century when a deed was registered to a couple it read: John A. Smith et ux. The wife’s name did not appear on the deed.

Years ago, earlier in the past decade, Rush was constantly gushing about how great and beneficial all those hard working illegal aliens were for our economy. I stopped listening to him because I knew he was misinformed.

2007 was when I started listening to him again (by that time he’d stopped singing the praises of illegals). In 2008 I had been researching Obama and I did something I had never done before: sent Rush information about Obama’s past.

He never used any of it. That was fine but he and his staff didn’t seem to do any digging of their own, either.

Rush maintains that his show is what HE wants to do, period. He’ll ignore everyone else. So far his radio show has been successful, so for him it works well. But - this alone is good evidence why he’s been married so many times.

"I think Rush skims Drudge, skims Free Republic and that is his show prep."

Not only that, the guy has more days off than most Sunday school teachers.

Yep, the doors are slamming. We hate everyone now who doesn’t dance to our particular tune 100% all the time. Hell of a way to go about winning an election. /sarc

Exactly my thoughts too. I listen to Rush and then I tell myself: boy...I've read that 3 days ago on FR!!! I agree I like to hear his take too but frankly, I know the news before he talks about it and I've read the articles before he read them on the show. And I spend may be 1/2 hours a day reading the news - max. That's one of the reason why it is getting boring. Just one of the reason.

Between his bride and golf, he has lost his focus. Then there is another term we use here in Texas but I won’t resort to such vulgarity here. But I think the term may apply to Rush at this place in time.

I think golf has replaced his show as Rush’s number one obsession. I think that is also the main reason he is humoring Trump. Think of the golf courses!!

To listen to him taking Trump seriously is getting disturbing. He needs to listen to his buddy, Mark Levin, a little more.

Rush Limbaugh talks about the news of today and current events. There's really nothing new happening with Sarah Palin these days. Her speeches are the general template, drill in Alaska and low taxes. She said nothing new or more importantly provocotive.

Today she said "Republicans need to learn to fight like a girl". Good line. Provocative. That's why it was mentioned. Rush is not the only one not talking about Sarah Palin.

If Trump was not saying the things he did this weekend Rush would have only mentioned Sarah Palin.

If Sarah Palin wants to be the top of the news day and steal the attention from Donald Trump she should come out and say this:

"When I move into the White House my attorney general will initiate a thorough and complete investigation in order to be fair to not only the American people but also to President Obama who rightfully deserves to be acknowledged as a legitimate former President. It is also important clarify to the American people that Barack Obama was indeed eligible and was the legitimate President of these United States.

However, if by some chance the accusations turn out to be correct, there is a promise to the American people that anybody in Congress whether they be republican or democrat will be legally held accountable and justice will be served for any wrong doing and illegal activity. Let that be a warning to the leaders of Congress who have taken the oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America."

That will get her on the news and trump Trump's message.
