Caught on camera, a mob of young people bombarded the City Stop convenience store on Sunset Road and Pecos Road and stole $600 in merchandise.
"It became a feeding frenzy," said City Stop owner Jon Athey. "They were in the store for three minutes and 30 seconds… It's a pretty scary thing."
Athey says the crowd darted in and snatched numerous items from the store. "Beer to jerky to candy bars to soda, whatever hit their fancy… potato chips," he said.
Athey says this tactic is known as a "swarm". After 42 years in the convenience store business, Athey says this crime stands out.
"This is the biggest one I've ever seen," he said.
If you walk into a convenience store, you expect every move to be recorded on camera. Surveillance cameras in every direction, however, didn't stop this crew.
"Now, you're seeing droves swarming in the front doors - right here - as fast as they can come in," Athey said as he watched the surveillance video. "You can see them milling around by the beer doors. Now, you're going to see them start selecting products they're putting in their coat pockets. They're putting it down their pants."

Sadly, I think you’re right. Liberals have succeeded in advancing the entitlement mentality so far that the country is divided into “haves” and “have nots” as defined by the “have nots.” It doesn’t matter what the reality is. If they think you have it and they want it, they’ll try to take it.

I second that. And I would just like to add one thought (Not in contrast to yours, but something I thought of by your statement, so I decided to share it with you). I don’t care if the illegals pay taxes or not, they deserve none of the benefits of citizenship. If people don’t come in by the front door, by invitation, they’re still intruders.
Whether or not the do get forced to pay taxes during their occupation, that doesn’t stop people from going to the E.R. for a headache, etc. The mentality that goes with being a true American, isn’t just a matter of paying taxes. And paying taxes (especially forcibly taken, at that), isn’t patriotic. I’m sick of illegals robbing Americans of benefits in ways true Americans would never use them. There are lots of people with dignity, that even if because of desperation might apply for say food stamps, that would use the bare minimum to get by, and after all other options, exhausted. Then there’s the people (while born in the U.S., aren’t really “American” in the sense of what America was founded upon) who will fill their carts with taxpayer funded steak and lobster.
It’s time we ended the Socialist “ahnd out’ state and people have to rely on charity if they can’t provide for themselves. If there is to be law and order, people can’t simply think that whatever they decide they want is theirs, nether by a “flash mobbery” nor government brokered robbery.

Yes, all because of just a few certain people. This is quite logical. A single criminal can instill fear into many people. The Night Stalker should be a sufficient example; if not enough, look at Jack the Ripper and many more. Fear of a criminal (or, for exceedingly brave, just a concern that he might kill you or your loved ones) is a massive force multiplier. Terrorists know all about that because it's the cornerstone of their acts.
Besides, there are more than just a handful of criminals out there. In some places majority are criminals. That US territory is already denied to you. As the USA continues on the way down, financially and economically, expect the crime rate to increase sharply. The police will simply take their sweet time to get to the scene, in part to protect themselves and in part because LEOs are laid off left and right, but ranks of criminals are growing. No wise person can dismiss this issue out of hand.

Some of this is showing up in KCMO where the archetypical white upscale shopping district, the Plaza, is starting to be targeted. Kids flooding into the area, being dropped off by their parent, harassing shoppers and diners. I haven’t gone down there in years but its about to reach a tipping point.
Where’s Charles Bronson when you need him. Maybe it’s re-enactment time.
