Right through the back door, while everyone was focused on the gulf oil spill, Barack Obama gave his signature to legislation permitting the U.S. Government to outlaw supplements and alternative health treatments.
That means that the supplements you take and therapies you use to keep your body healthy, can now be made illegal by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Obama quietly gave permission for Codex Alimentarius - the United Nation's worldwide plan for food standards - to take effect in the U.S. via Executive Order 13544 of June 10, 2010. The President's decision creates the National Prevention, Health Promotion, and Public Health Council, a group of 'experts' that carry out whatever activities Obama deems appropriate.
According to an article at Rense.com, after five years of fighting this bill in Congress and the House, Obama has decided to try to kill the supplement and alternative health industry; all alternative health remedies can be deemed "unscientific" and not provable by the FDA, which can lead to them being banned.
It means that supplements may have to be removed from sale permanently, or have their potency capped at ultra low levels, making them almost worthless. The very same thing happened in Europe just a few years ago.

I honestly do not believe, that after all Obama has done to undermine our constitutional republic, that the American people are going to make the same mistake twice.

If you say so I guess. All I know is that my dermatologist suggested I try an OTC of Claritin. When I went to the pharmacy, there were several Claritins on the shelf and one that had a tag that you had to take to the pharmacist to get the Claritin she had there. So I did that and she asked me for my drivers license. She said that the Claritin she was going to give me, while no prescrip. was needed, had to reported via her computer to the State Police.
I told her what I needed it for and she said the stuff that was on shelf would work just fine........
The homemade concoction that becomes Meth uses over the counter cold meds, allergy meds, etc. The hillbillies who make that stuff were going into Walmart, etc and buying tons of the otc meds. Once law enforcement started noticing the pattern, they decided to pull it off the shelves, or quantities of it so you had to show ID. It was an easy way to try to track who was buying large amounts in short periods of time. At least it was a cheap way to track, with mimimal inconvenience to the regular consumer - usually government involvement turns into a huge time and money waste.
same with me, statins tear up my system, so I went on flax seed tablets, then to fish oil tablets, dropped my bad cholesterol a ton.
also, one of my neighbor’s kids was on prescription this and that for depression for years, but the kid wasn’t getting any better. he started doing research, and found St. Johns wart. Kid has been on that for probably 2 years now (in high school) and doing great. He said the kid drinks a cup of tea made from it in the AM, and one before bed. Saves him a ton of money, and it is natural, not some chemical compound made by pharmacy.

I was questioned about buying several packages of cough gels once - when they explained why it made sense.
Unfortunately, the amount of fish he would have to eat to equal the amount in the fish oil pills is close to impossible. Plus, the pills he takes are purified. No mercury, for example, like in some of the fish you buy over the counter. My point is he managed to control a pretty serious medical condition by using a supplement instead of a statin (which made him physically ill). More control of our lives, more control of our freedoms. The U.S. USE to be known as a country of freedoms. However, we now look at other countries and realize that they have more freedoms than we do.
There are many supplements that people take over pharmaceutical drugs that reduce or eliminate a health problem. The “up” side is that there are little to no side effects in some. You had the same good results as my husband with the fish oil. I will recommend to him the flax seed tablets as well. They don’t make you ill and they also don’t destroy your liver like many pharmaceuticals do.
