A scruffy Alabama terrier mix named Mason was whisked away by fierce twisters last month, prompting his owners, who lost their home in the storm, to fear the worst. But the redoubtable mutt apparently crawled back to his home days later with two broken legs in a remarkable tale of survival.
Local news outlet WBRC reports that Mason was blown away by the storm from the garage in Birmingham where he was hiding on April 27. His owners looked for him everywhere but couldn't find him. Two and a half weeks later, though, they found Mason waiting for them on their front porch when they returned to the house to look through the debris

Reminds me of “Toto” who never leaves Dorothy’s side during all of her adventures. How could Muslims hate these creatures who are obviously gifts from God? My little rescue never leaves my side.
Why is it that on any forum on the internet you go to, whenever a story of a dog doing something amazing is posted all the cat lovers feel it’s okay to post something about cats?
Are you all so insecure about your choice of pets that you can’t just acknowledge the amazing things that many dogs do on a regular basis?
lol. Cute
I have dogs & cats and love them all.
Animal threads are open to all animals.

Yes, of course, woman are number one in the hate brigade of Muslims. But number two seems to be domesticated animals - dogs in paricular.
I have no real problem with some cultures who eat dogs - although I think the Chinese and Koreans are going to get away from that in the future as their economies improve. Proof positive that the American Indians are related to the Asians: they, too, relished dogs as food!
hey this is a DOG thread get your own thread cat lovers!!!

Thank you so much for posting. Any good story about this tragedy is one that gives you a bit of joy and hope. So much damage, missing families, deceased loved ones. I am happy that one family found their pet.
LOL
what a heartwarming story.. poor guy & lucky family!
thanks for ping Joe & for the thread nuc...
Love my dogs (and cats) and would be crazy if they disappeared in a situation like that
I had one cat who would follow me wherever I went. He would even walk to heel outside, just like a dog. The key to it was his history as a stray. We found him as a flea-bitten, scrawny little cat, started feeding him and earned his loyalty.
I’ve never had a dog as loyal as that white kitty, but unfortunately, his history as a stray led to medical problems that took him at a young age.
The gender and racial bean counting mentality took root and spread to other species.
Can’t have a thread with just dogs, that would be discriminatory.
