Why did Timothy McVey (spelling?) die so quickly, yet Peterson lingers on?

McVeigh stopped his appeals.

Clinton wanted McVey dead quickly, lest the truth about Arab involvement went public.

He also receives numerous letters from female admirers who send him checks for his commissary account. "He has a significant amount of money in his account from people all over the world," says Robinson.

McVeigh knew too much and they didn’t work alone. He also loves his sister and didn’t want anything to happen to her...so “he was the captain of his own ship”.

Fed death row is always quicker. In fact I don't think there is anyone in the federal prisons on death row like they have in the States.
To: Eddie01
Crazy huh? It has always amazed me how they (murders in prison) have a huge bunch of groupies. Good post, interesting even thought it was a 09 article.

McVeigh’s was a federal offense.

Geez...even in prison he still has that “I'm above it all” smirk on his face.
Makes you wonder just how many of these sociopolitical jerks are really walking around out there abusing people and one step away from attempting murder.

I’m always interested in “what ever happened too” stories as they pertain to human events.
There seems to be something gained from diving into the memory hole from time to time.

His arrogant smile has not changed.
I was pregnant and due the same week Laci was. When she disappeared I prayed for her and followed that case. I was sad after my son was born and I was holding him in my arms that Laci wasn’t sitting in her rocker holding Conor.
My little boy is 8, and it’s heartbreaking that laci nor conor got to experience all those precious years. All he had to do to be free was to divorce her. I am sad that this sick bastard gets to enjoy anything of life at all.

Should we take up a collection to send him a jar of vaseline. Essentials such as this are hard to come by behind bars.

One has to wonder if the commissary thought to stock vasiline or not. And if not, all the better.

McV was convicted in Federal court, where there is less red tape and rapid appeals.
