Am I mistaken or are the only legitimate “people’s” rebellion in the so-called Arab Spring is the one we are not supporting? Sounds like people against Hezbollah and Khameini should be allies of ours. Instead, we look for places we can facilitate the Muslim Brotherhood’s pseudo-democratic goals.
We didn’t support Lebanon enough, and now Hezbollah is taking over the gov’t there.

Probably not so relevant. I am in Lebanon at the moment, have been travelling like crazy. Apparently there is violence erupting in the north of lebanon between sunnis and alawites(small minority). Alawites are the same religion as Bashar Al-Assad of Syria, so this may be spillover from syria into lebanon. Supposedly 3 dead already including 1 soldier.
