Attn: FReepers! Please Don’t Blame Orlando For The Casey Anthony Verdict. It Wasn’t Our Jury!

Please do not blame Orlando for the Casey Anthony verdict. Had locals been given a choice, she would convicted overwhelmingly! But we did not get to supply the jurors. They were from Pinellas County, 100 miles and 100 years west of Central Florida. Pinellas County is mostly low class retirees in St. Petersburg, knuckle-dragging cretins in Pinellas Park and the denizens of Scientology World Headquarters in Clearwater. The average IQ in Highpoint and Safety Harbor is less than the air temperature on ays when we wory about the citrus crop freezing.

I grew up there, escaped, and recognize there are a few intelligent people there such as Pinellas County FReepers, (but not former governor Charlie Crist from St. Pete. BTW, Crist, the Gay Blade, has now joined the biggest ambulance chasing firm in the State, and his show “wife” hasn’t been seen with him in years.)

So please, when you think about the all-but-convicted murderess going free here, don’t blame us. BTW, I know Judge Perry well, and he is a VERY good guy. Don’t blame him or us for the jury’s idiocy.

Killing your own children. Legal since 1973.

I support the execution of Osama Bin Laden. Bad example.

I wouldn’t want you executed, no way. I’d want the perps convicted executed PDQ and not 25 years later, if ever.

Constitution. Everybody defends the Constitution, including Anthony Weiner. The Constitution shot has become a dud!

The actual Jury did a great job. They ignored the MOB.

Exactly. If, and from what I have seen (granted, I haven't OJ'd over the case), the prosecution failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she was indeed guilty of premeditated murder, she SHOULD have been found "not guilty".

The presumption of innocence demands it.

In the absence of physical evidence which supports the prosecution's case, clear, credible testimony establishing a sequence of events, and other simple yet essential foundations on which to base a guilty verdict, the circumstantial evidence alone was not enough.

The family has been exposed as an excrable mess, they'll have to live with that, and they will have to live with themselves until they meet the Judge who already knows what has transpired.

In the meantime, who would imperil their immortal soul on the off chance they might be wrong?

Enough of the tv lynch mob.

Even if he was acquitted by a jury?

The former perp is looking for a job as a babysitter. Would you trust your children to her care?!

This is where the tire meets the gravel road, pal! Enough posturing, defending the indefensible!

If you wore knickers, they’d be in a real twist, Ma’am. Sort of a Gordian Knot pre-Alexander.

The real problem is what our courts have become. They are not halls or truth and justice they are halls of censorship and telling partial facts to juries who never hear all the story. It needs to stop.

A jury should be in a court room as soon as the gavel goes down and should leave only when court is in recess or adjourned for the day. Juries should be there during sidebars etc.

Our courts are in a shambles and a relic of what the founders gave us and intended. They are corrupt and laden with political agenda as well.

Just from my personal experiences as a witness in an abuse case I saw enough to make me sick and I was not in a jury trial. Deals are cut, witnesses many times put on trial, and perps made to look as victims. I do not think I would make a good juror as I have lost all faith in the justice system.

Ya gotta prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt to convict....the prosecutor obviously failed to do so. I think she probably did kill the child, but they have to be able to prove it.

You don’t allow someone who is most likely the actual murderer to just roam the streets freely and hope that she won’t do anything again.

” If they had the option of going for something lesser, but chose to absolve, then that definitely was a mistrial. “ ===

The verdict itself can not cause a mistrial.

The jury simply came back with their verdict of NOT GUILTY on the murder one, murder two aggravated child abuse, the manslaughter charges, and the verdict of GUILTY to four counts of lying to law enforcement. It’s over, and she can never be re-tried for the same crime again, even if she confessed tomorrow.

Folks have little trust in Divine Providence in such cases that can’t be decided. The mob is hungry tonight. At least THIS mob is only a fulsome bevy of blustering emotiion driven justice-frenziers. That is, it reminds me of one place I lived when young and poor, that had a tin porch roof, yet the huge busomed and equally empty-brained young blonde lady upstairs would feed stray cats who could readily jump from the fences onto it.

In the heat of the city summer those cats truly raised a horrible ruckus in wailing and skittering acrost thet hot tin roof. If I wasn’t working and drinking so hard at the time it might have kept me up.

I can tell just by *looking* at Casey Anthony she’s guilty. What the hell was wrong with that Orlando jury? What the hell is wrong with Orlando? Too much Mickey Mouse, I suppose, or something in the swamp water down there. They need to listen to Nancy Grace a little more.

I am sick of mobs and mob-frenzy “justice”!

I agree. I'm also sick of over-emotional twits judging the jury. There isn't any room for "feelings" in the jury box.

And what does that photo mean to you?

To me it just a picture of a pretty young woman in a flag dress.
