A Mexican national was executed Thursday for the rape-slaying of a teenager after the U.S. Supreme Court turned down a White House-supported appeal to spare him in a death penalty case where Texas justice triumphed over international treaty concerns. Humberto Leal, 38, received lethal injection for the 1994 murder of Adria Sauceda. She was fatally bludgeoned with a piece of asphalt. Leal was pronounced dead at 6:21 p.m. EDT (2221 GMT).

I am always amazed at how long some people who are not at all conservative have hung around FR.

This helps Perry, but not to the point that finding a clear voice like that of Sarah Palin, Herman Cain, or even Michelle Bachmann would help. The grassroots is impatient with mush. Whatever good Bush did, and he did a good job at @$$ kicking in terrorist nests at first, he also gave us a lot of mush.

Capital punishment was not exacted of King David, and that is sufficient to disprove you.

“Here’s your problem with capital punishment ~ only few are chosen.”

Actually the victims of capital punishment are volunteers, not chosen.

“A piece of human garbage disposed of, and a thumb in the eyes of “international treaty concerns”, Barack OFraudo, and Jorge Bush.”

Only his victim can grant a stay. Oh...wait...she’s dead!

All of you are a bunch of hypocrites... either you are pro life or your are pro death. QED...

I've got a great idea. Since you love murderers so much you want to keep them alive, how about you pay for their board and room yourself? Or maybe even let them live in your spare bedroom?

You're the hypocrite for equating the killing of innocents with the just execution of those who deserve it.

I read all the wagon’s west series. They did get repetitious. I’ll definitely get some of these you recommend and read them. It’s a perfect time to sit in the sun and read and escape from the realities of current events. We only have 2-3 months of good weather.

Let me try to explain in a manner even a NARROW MINDED IDIOT COULD UNDERSTAND.....

It is not hypocritical to want to protect the lives of the innocent....

It is not hyprocritical to want to keep the evil from committing harm on the innocent....EVER AGAIN!

Mainly because they were being lawfully executed for murder by sacrificing of their own lives...he gave them the opportunity to reprent and be saved, just like Leal was today.

It’s funny how people think they can cherry pick the Bible...God’s COMMAND: Thou shalt not kill...God’s LAW: Should a man deliberately shed the blood of another, take him and immediately shed his blood...

You're going for the Dumbest Post of the Day award.

Understanding Christian doctrine, is to understand that "thou shalt not kill" doesn't translate into sparing brutal murderers the death penalty. The Gospel in which Christ saves Mary from being stoned is completely inapplicable.

This guy murdered someone's 16 year old daughter by bashing her head in with a hunk of asphalt. The sick bastard then left her with "a piece of lumber" (as per a story I read) sticking out of her vagina.

Unless you're some type of complete moron, serving justice by giving him the death penalty does not equate to killing an innocent baby.

Before I found Johnstone, I had many writers I liked but that changed after I found him. Guess I have close to 200 of his books Including The Out of the Ashes series. I also like his Rig Warrior series of 3 books which are about a trucker, Dog, who has been given permission by the President to wipe out crime. I think it is the 3rd one which is about his wiping out terrorists in this country. We need General Ben Raines and his rebels today——Out of the Ashes series.
